Pretty close, I still have 12 pounds before I hit my current goal, but I know where you're coming from, I'm starting to get apprehensive about it, not sure if my current goal will be the right place to switch gears so to speak. Rigger

Good point brother, and thanks Stef, I appreciate the kind words. I'm actually looking forward to/dreading my first bulk here in a few months. Rigger

Yup, that sounds about right. Rigger

This thread is epic. I'm not a success yet so I'm not going to post pictures, but I'm a success in training, and I follow IIFYM. Looking good everyone. Rigger

If Dr. Oz recommended breathing I may have to reconsider my whole philosophy on the subject. Rigger

Calf supporters are the greatest thing God gave a runner with shin splints. Buy a pair, they're cheap and they rock. Rigger

Walk in like you own the place and get down to business, outward confidence breeds inward confidence, and visa versa. And confidence can make up for a lot of shortcomings. Rigger

When I'm in one of those moods where I just want to be left alone to work things out in my head, I honestly find comfort in a bar-bell. Hit the gym, plug in some tunes and throw around some weight. If that's not really your thing, take a walk and clear your head that way. Locking yourself away in your room is just a good…

Really can't argue with this. Cleanses are useless, so don't bother with any of that gimmicky crap. Figure out your TDEE-20% and work off of that. Personally I do the gym three days a week, and I spend 45-50 minutes lifting and 20-30 minutes doing cardio (usually swimming or stationary bike.) I also play basketball 1-2…

I just found this dressing and it is awesome, I actually like it more than my old Hidden Valley Ranch. The Litehouse lite Ranch is also pretty good. Rigger

But..But...But......Big bones, slow metabolism and big bones!!! Why must you destroy my precious excuses with your scientifically based reality!?! Damn you!!! :explode: Rigger

Yup, this^^^ Personally I exercise when I have time, usually that means I'm doing the 20 minute drive to the gym after the kids are in bed. I actually like working out about an hour after dinner though, I feel like I have more power in my lifts, and adequate energy for cardio after that. But again, whenever you can fit it…

Offer to weigh their portions out too, subtle jabs are fun. Rigger

Tell him that if he doesn't knock it off you're going to sick a bunch of Vegans on him. Both are equally obnoxious and can argue with each-other for hours. He'll be so preoccupied defending his religion and bashing theirs that he won't have time to comment on your food choices. Rigger

So you plan to starve yourself again? Tell me how that's a good idea that won't lead to another binge? Look, just move on, hit your calorie goal, and eat back 50% or so of your exercise calories. just because you go over your calories one day doesn't mean you have to punish yourself by restricting your intake the rest of…

It's not a big deal, just log it and move on, don't skip or even skimp on meals the rest of the day, you'll be fine. Rigger

Not going to happen OP, your friend has to make the decision himself. My buddy has been saying he wants to get back in shape you years, over the last year he has seen my success, and being my gym buddy he knows exactly what he needs to do to emulate it, still, he hasn't lost an ounce. Take him on this hike, he'll push…

I prefer deadlifts, but I do both. Recently I have started doing clean and press, which I also find awesome, but deads are by far my favorite movement. ETA: the movements work different muscles, so you should do both. Rigger

Since I get cold at night now, I'm going to give them to my mom so she can make me a nice fat boy quilt. Rigger

Google a TDEE calculator and input your stats, that'll get you close, from there you can tweak your calorie intake to figure out where you need to be. Do you weigh your food, or measure. If you measure you may not be logging your food accurately. Rigger

2400 might be a bit high, but then again, I don't know your workout regimen. I'm a 30 year old male, and I'm cutting on 2400 currently with a solid amount of exercise 5 days a week. No harm in trying it I suppose, out of curiosity, have you figured out your TDEE? Rigger

The way the OP's post is worded tells me it was 7K total over three days. That's like saying "I sat down with a glass of milk and intended to eat three Oreo's and instead I had four, it's a binge." What she is describing is not a binge. And I picked out that statement in order to illustrate the point, I avoided the rest…

7000 calories over a three day period is not a binge, and to claim it is does a great disservice to those who do suffer from a disorder involving binging. Rigger

Advice, let's see, visit a rest room when the need arises and move on with life. 7000 calories over three days is normal eating for most people, you're holding water and waste weight, that's it. You should probably speak to someone about your relationship with food and apparent need for attention. Rigger

4-5 times a week. Currently I lift three days a week for 45-50 minutes, then 15-30 minutes of cardio after that. I also play basketball twice a week for 1-2 hours. Rigger

I had to drop about 40 pounds before I could actually see the difference. Even though none of my clothes fit anymore, and everyone around me noticed, I still couldn't see it. When you see yourself in the mirror every day it takes a bit longer for the changes to appear. Just keep at it. Rigger

If you're liver, kidneys and bowels are functioning properly then you're not going to cleanse anything, the body takes care of that. Juice fasts don't do anything special, and if done for too long can be dangerous to your health. Rigger

Your net, if what you stated is accurate (Diary is closed so I don't know) is way too low. You can exercise that much, but you have to fuel that activity with more food. Not knowing your stats I can only guess, but 500net is likely 1000 calories or more, under what you should be consuming. But again, with your diary closed…

I get bummed out if I'm going to miss a gym day. I know I'll make it up, but man, if something comes up and I miss a date with the barbell it sucks. I always feel great when I'm there, and after I'm done, so I know where your coming from. I don't think it's unhealthy at all, unless it pairs with an eating disorder. Rigger

This would be the best way to go. Rigger
