I have mine set to 1941 and only eat back my exercise calories when I need to net my BMR which for me is 1297. I've lost 34 lbs so far.

you can look on ebay for someone selling the base separately but that will be hard to find since people are always looking for an extra base so they can keep one at home and one at work. You will need the base since it not only charges the fitbit but it also syncs the fitbit with the computer. I would not buy just a fitbit…

Can someone please double check my numbers for me. I think I got but I just want to make sure. Thank you. Ok. I think I finally got it. Hopefully someone can agree. I found my Body Fat using the military formula to be 34.9%. So my BMR would be 1297 calories. I chose moderately active since I do body pump 2 times a week, go…

Ok. I think I finally got it. Hopefully someone can agree. I found my Body Fat using the military formula to be 34.9%. So my BMR would be 1297 calories. I chose moderately active since I do body pump 2 times a week, go for a 3 mile run/walk on Sundays and then I'm also an elementary PE teacher so I'm always moving at work.…

Thank you for everything you are doing for us.

I have a Fitbit and I love it. It is able to tell me how much I burn during the day.
-
I'm a PE teacher so I'm constantly drinking water. I use the restroom in between my classes. If this doesn't happen then I go when the students are running their laps. My co-worker watches both classes then when I come back it is her turn or vice versa. As for regular teachers I know they go when they bring the whole class…

My BMR is 1403. I wear a Fitbit and last week my high burn day was 2553 and the low burn day is 2253. I averaged out the week it comes to 2402. So I took 500 calories away from and I'm trying to eat 1902 calories. I do body pump twice a week and a tabata workout twice a week. On Sunday's I usually go for a 3 mile run/walk.

save to read later because I'm feeling the same way.

I found the Fitbit to be very accurate. It takes into account calories being burned by sleeping, breathing, etc. So the 338 calories being burned is from 12 am to when you looked, which most of the burn is from sleeping. when you get up for the day you'll notice you're calorie burn will be higher.

I have both too and I agree with this poster.

I have a fitbit and love it. I've learned I burn a lot of calories during a 24 hour period (2300) so I was able to increase my calories accordingly.
-
bumping to read later since I'm having the same problem and I'm starting to get a little nervous.

I had mine set up as 40 carbs/30 fats and protein. I recently changed it to 45 carbs/30 fats and 25 protein since I was having a hard time keeping my carbs down. Once I'm home for the summer and it is easier to manage my snacks and keep track of them I'll switch it back to 40/30/30.

By peeking at your diary for the last couple of days I would say you are not eating enough calories. Increase your calories.
-
Like others have said, increase your calories.
-
To put it bluntly you are not eating enough calories and the calories you are eating is a lot of processed, crappy food. Up your calories and try to stick to clean eating, whole grains, fruits, veggies, lean sources of protein.
-
I hear you. I was totally the same way until I came across a thread about ladies who have upped their calories to 1800 and they started losing again. There is a new group called Eat More Weigh less with some handy links at the beginning stating how metabolism works. I would join the group and read up on things. Good luck.
-
I definitely would. You are eating around 1200 calories but sometimes burning 600 calories so all your body is left with is 600 calories for basic needs. Me alone my body requires 1406 calories for basic metabolic needs so I have my diary set for 1676 calories for the day.
-
I would do one of two things. I would stop your exercising if you are going to keep your calories so slow or I would up your calorie intake to at least 1600 calories. You are slowing down your metabolism so whatever calories you are taking in are being used by your body just to maintain your regular body processes.

I have a fitbit and I do love it but as a PP noted I've stop syncing mine to MFP. It seemed to be adding too many calories. I use it to make sure I get my step count in.
-
I have a Fitbit and I do love it but I don't have it synced to the MFP anymore. As for cycling no, it is not good for that since you wear it on your waist or bra strap. You would have to input that you did cycling and for how long then it will adjust your calories.
-
NO. Your goals are not realistic.

I spread mine on toast in the morning then I put my peanut butter on top of that. Very tasty. I also mixed some in my oatmeal yesterday.
