You can do it and MFP is a great place to do it! If you follow MFP's plan for your calorie intake, you can't go wrong. It also makes you want to exercise because if you do, you get some more to eat  . Good Luck!

Absolutely amazing! Now you just need to pose with a nice ten pound WALLEYE and the transition will be complete

I don't have anxiety but on the days I miss my run - I am a grump. In my best mood of the day post-run!

Pinterest has some great low cal chocolate recipes.

I too love food and wine. I have also learned to love MFP and running. I have been on MFP for almost 2 years. I have been in maintenance for a year and a half. I've never sacrificed my wine - I just make sure it fits into my calories for the day. If I want a little more calories than the day will allow, I just exercise…

Hi Jennifer! You have come to the right place. If you stay true to MFPs guidelines, you will lose weight. You can also set up a great support team - friends that will help and encourage you along the way. It is possible! Good luck!

Losing weight is hard enough without the added struggles! I don't deal with depression and anxiety but have family members that do. Kudos to you for sharing your story and your positive outlook.

Good luck ladies! You have come to the right place!

Well done!

Good luck! I started running at 47. My first goal was to run a 5k. My second to run a 5K in less than 30 - made a 29:03. Next summer I hope to run a half marathon. Watch out - you may get addicted!

I raised the MFP maintenance # by about 150 calories a day. I went 10 pounds below my goal with MFPs actual #. I have been in maintenance for a little over a year. I eat back almost all exercise calories. It has worked out very well.

I'm 47 and I think I may be in the best shape of my life! You can do this!

Good luck! You have certainly come to the right place. I lost 30 pounds using MFP. I have been in maintenance for a year now. I still sign in every day. Feel free to add me.

This is a great program! Good luck!

Congrats!! You look awesome!

I never thought I would lose weight. I thought "if I could just lose 10 pounds...". My daughter showed me MFP. That was 30 pounds ago. I have been in maintenance for a year now. Still not sick of using MFP!

Good job! My first 5k without stopping was 42 minutes and I was stoked! My PR is now 29:03. Keep going - you'll be surprised what your body can do!

Absolutely amazing! You're children are fortunate that you realize (even in your grief) that you need to be healthy for them.

Whether we admit it or not, we ALL think like you! Some of us are just more honest about admitting it (that does make us better than them, right?). Have fun!

You have every right to be proud! I started running in May. I celebrated big time when I was able to run around the track once without stopping. Now that's sad! I've kept at it and since then I have gone as far as seven miles without stopping. So you celebrate you're victory and know there are more to come!

Way to go!

I am 47 and just started running in May. I have only ran 3 official 5k races. My PR is 30:44. Hoping to get under 30!

I'm new to running also. I started in late May. The first time I ran three miles it took me 48 minutes. My daughter has been training me by doing intervals, hills and long distances. My first 5K time was 31:55. I was so excited! We started by running three days a week and now four. Rest days are very important. Definitely…

Welcome! Life has definitely sent you some difficulties but it sounds like things are looking up. You've definitely come to the right place to lose weight and feel good about yourself. Take a look at some of the before and after pictures. They are very encouraging! I am 47 and have been in maintenance since October. I only…

1. Today will be my best time. 2. I feel great! 3. I can't do this. 4. I wonder if anyone else swallows bugs because they're breathing so hard. 5. Why did I download this song? 6. I'm almost 50 and I'm doing this! 7. She's in her 60s and just passed me.

I am a fairly new runner also. I agree with several others - rest days are very important. Every other day is a good rule. The foam rollers do work great. I would also suggest you stretch after you run - not before. Just walk a bit prior to running.

You look awesome! Good job!

You look great! Nicely done!
