Thanks! That's good advice!

Meant to type 160! But true, I didn't know a lot about weight loss before and had that problem. And the 160 isn't even set in stone. As long as it's coming off I'll be happy, honestly.

5'6 and 181 lbs right now but my goal is 140 lbs by shorts weather :)

Thanks for that! Was waiting for it.

Posting to say I've done 5 miles on the bike this week! Also, my favorite recipe: bean burger / 297 calories 1 (15 ounce) can butter beans, drained 1 small onion, chopped 1 tablespoon finely chopped jalapeno pepper 6 wheat crackers, crushed 1 egg, beaten 1/2 cup shredded low fat cheese 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder salt and…

Felt like I've overdone the 1,200 calories today but I've not worked out yet though so I guess I'm doing good! Happy week 2 everyone
-
Did the weigh in and sent in my weekly sheet thing. Down 1.6 lbs! Good luck on the weigh-in today, team!
-
Alright push ups! I say that sarcastically, I hate them. Good luck everyone!

Hey team! Doing good. Mad, mad, mad cravings lately but I'm fighting them off as best as I can. Drinking the water is still a struggle but I'm getting it down. I've already done half the ups and downs, 40 minutes of the Insanity workout, and resisted ice cream for a nice cold orange. I hope I can keep it up! Good luck to…

Fixing to do my one mile challenge! Then I have to do the Insanity workout. Probably going to feel really sore in the morning with that extra oompf being put in today. At least it'll all be worth it though! Good luck today team. Oh me too! I usually don't drink the right amount and it seemed like a lot, even if I sweat a…

So excited for this! Going to do my regular exercise soon and then take a break and do the Monday challenge! Water bottle is filled up and I'm ready to go! Good luck team!

Hey team! My name's Sherry. This is my first challenge!! So excited, I'm ready to shed. I'm 23, 5'6, and currently 197.6 lbs A realistic weight loss goal: 10 lbs! That's 2 a week for the month of August! Ideas for challenges: 2 Cardio Challenges - a jump rope challenge or for low impact an uphill walk, where you go walking…

Still room? Would love to join in!

Thanks you guys! Been really helpful. Guess I'm going to have to change up my food/amount intake.

Cardio, cardio, cardio! I just started working out 6 days a week with the Insanity workout at a minimum high intensity cardio session of 30 minutes a day, plus I'm doing bike riding once a week up some serious steep hills around my town, and I'm already noticing a difference in my mid-section. It'll wear you out but the…

Hi! Welcome aboard. I know how you feel. It took me a long, long time to get into exercise. For awhile I was just counting calories and that was it. I lost some weight that way but it didn't really start peeling off until I started exercising. At first I'd go walking, do outdoor things more often, and either ride my…

Added you :)

Good luck to you both! You'll love it here. Everyone is so friendly and helpful and motivational :)

I know how it is to be pumped up and ready to go and then all of a sudden you're eating a burger. Having a community of support really helped me, especially since my family is not the healthiest family around. Seeing other people's struggles, triumphs, and similar fears, have really helped me and continue to help me on a…

I've been here for awhile, you'll love it! The goal setting is simple, the people are amazing, and there's a ton of blogs and stuff to keep you motivated. Old pictures of me help keep me motivated too, I have one of me from last summer on the fridge to remind me what I used to be like and how far I can go. I've still got a…

I've only done Insanity. It's great for fat loss, since it's strenuous cardio, and in the first week I lost almost 3 lbs. It's really hard and you will sweat like never before! I'm saving P90X for after I've lost more weight, so I can define my shape.

Thanks everyone! All of this has been especially helpful. Going to take all of this into account and work extra hard and keep at it and learn to do those cruddy things!

10 for tats!

I think the best way to know for sure is to actually measure yourself with a paper/plastic tape measure. I was stuck on a certain weight not long ago, I was exercising, eating the amount of calories I needed to, and drinking lots of water. I was very much in the same WHAT IS GOING ON?! arena. So I measured myself (hips,…

I did this the other day it was ammmmmmmmmazing for 250 calories The cinnamon, pumpkin pie spice, and honey teddy graham’s (to resemble the ‘graham cracker’ pie crust), makes you feel like your eating an endless piece of pumpkin pie! This shake also has the added benefits of 30+ grams of protein, is high in fiber, and is…

23, 5'6, with 55 lbs to lose! Added you :)

Whenever I can! Sometimes it's in the morning, other time's it's around midday. I've never exercised at night, except for maybe walking or just doing a few dips with the weights while I watch TV. Usually when I do workout it's for 30-45 minutes a day. I can't afford a gym either. I'm still trying to be consistent with it,…
