It really has nothing to do with pasta or spaghetti. It's called that because when it's cooked it's flesh comes out in ribbons resembling spagetti. I really like acorn or zucchini so I've never tried spaghetti squash. I'm sure there are a lot of great recipies if you look online for them.

I am back at it but new to this site. I was using another one and I still like that site but this one is a little less busy which is good for me because I am VERY busy. I had lost 75 lbs and gained most of it back. I had a knee injury. I really did okay at maintaining for quite a while. The better part of 8 months but then…

Franz Sweet Dark bread w/a little butter and topped with a strong cheese. I like either extra sharp white cheddar or gouda!

I've got 20 years on you but we are about the same. I'm 5'9.5" and I'm right about 349 right now. You can do this! One thing that really helps me is to keep a positive mind frame. Reading really is helpful for me. It keeps me calm and happy. You also need to change your self talk. You really can do this and don't tell…

I like to have a bowl of cereal with 1% milk at night or the slow churned varieties of ice cream! I have a houseful though so I buy the regular ice cream for the rest of them.

371LBS AT 5'9.5" just shortly before my mom passed away in 2004. I've been down to 285lb, now back up to around 350. Working on getting it down and off for good!

Welcome to MFP! There is a lot of support on here. Just plug in, make friends, and stay optimistic!

5'9.5" here, size 11 shoe (sometimes 10, sometimes 12) My weight is pretty evenly distributed. Biggest issue with pants is that the "average" length is way too short and the "tall" usually drags on the ground. Biggest personal issue is that there are a lot of short men out there, ugh! I anticipate it all getting better…

ALSO, when I ask a question and instead of giving me a simple answer a person needs to go into their full medical history and all that ails them. Really, I just want you to answer my question because even though you think we have your full medical file or even need it, we don't.

I work in a call center for health insurance. Our departments are compartmentalized. It irritates me to no end when: People do not call the number on their card, do not enter their ID# before I get their call, and then get mad at me because I have to transfer them to the department that handles their benefits! People who…

Sounds good to me. I'm in my 40s but feel like I'm in my 30s!

I'm very glad that your husband is supporting you now. That's awesome. All I can say is do it now. Don't wait because before you know it you'll be 45 years old with bad knees (Yep that's me, guilty). I just restarted and I am determined. The other day my sister texted me and said, "Want to go to Outback? They have all you…

SOMETIMES YOU JUST HAVE TO KICK YOURSELF IN THE *kitten*! I've been there and not long ago. There's got to be something that can motivate you. Do you have friends or relatives trying to get healthy? - Join them. Do you like to read? - doesn't matter what it is, just read. It'll help get you into a better mindspace. Do you…

I'm in the same boat as far as work goes, but I find that planning and tracking my food ahead of time helps. It makes me plan things out and then it's easier to stick to. I usually eat oatmeal in the morning. At my first break I have a piece of fruit and a no fat blended Greek yogurt. Today for lunch I have a Safeway Farms…

You have a great story and an amazing talent for telling it. Thank you for sharing and btw, you are hot!

You have an amazing story and I can relate to a lot of what you have said. I'm now where you were when you started weight/size wise. I also feel that to label foods bad or "off limits" just makes me feel deprived. It does take consistancy and dedication. Thank you for showing that. I really need these success stories right…
