  • I hope I'm not repeated stuff that's already been posted (but I probably am): You can't drink just water. If you are exercising for more than 90 minutes, you HAVE to use an electrolyte replacement drink. I'm still trying to find the perfect one: I used powerade because it tasted good and I could but it at the supermarket…
  • Which triathlon is it and what is the date? I might be able to do the swim.
  • I did 17.5 miles today. Total this week so far: 47.5.
  • Make sure you have entered your personal information into the HRM. It will base its calorie expenditure on your height, weight, age and heart rate. Also make sure that it is registering your heart rate. Mine is a Polar F11, which is coded so it won't tell me that my heart rate is really that of the person next to me; it…
  • I did not meet my goal of 73 last week, so I'm making that my goal this week. I did 40 yesterday.
  • I have a trek 11i. It has time, distance, pace and (most inportant) cadence.
  • I have the Polar F11 and I love it. I've had it 4 years and replaced the battery twice. When the display stopped working last year, I sent it back to Polar and they fixed it for free (still under warranty). It does heart rate, average HR, tracks 7 days worth of workouts and will develop work out goals for you. I even use…

Friday was the best day: I dropped my son off at camp; swam; bike 35 miles; had lunch (Robeks and a Potbelly sandwich); and went to the wine store. It was sunny, not so humid and in the high 80s, low 90s.

  • Last week I did 59.6 miles including 27 miles during a triathlon. I had to slow down my ride twice during the race for ambulances coming through to pick up a bunch of riders who wiped out on a pretty steep turning descent. I am planning to do a Century ride on October 4 in Salisbury, MD, so I'm going to be increasing my…
