  • Get an Open/Closed sign for your kitchen/fridge/cupboard. When you turn it to CLOSED after meeting your calorie goal then it sparks a mental thought process that keeps you aware of your night time snacking. Personally. I wait as long as I can in the day to start eating. Most of the time, it works out pretty well. Good luck.
  • Iodine, Iron, Vitamin D, and Evening Primrose Oil. Covers basis for ovary disfunction, thyroid imbalance, and anemia. If it persists after a month of CONSISTENT supplement use, then you might have a bigger problem. Don't leave something like this to strangers on the internet. :/ Just sayin'. Edit: Melatonin at night to…
  • The skin is one of the last to the party so to speak. If you lose weight quickly it will act as though it is in shock and take longer to bounce back. Some things to help your skin while losing weight is to TOUCH it. Aggressive massage, coffee scrub, body wraps and simple lotion application can help tone the appearance of…
  • My mother did herbalife long time ago, lost a lot of weight. Had she kept up with the good eating habits she might have kept it off (though to each their own struggles, her journey was certainly not mine.) At the moment, I'm supplementing with homemade Kefir. It's a probiotic super food that keeps me full for many hours…
  • Anhidrosis would be the medical term used for this particular condition. I also have this particular problem. You probably swell up when you excersize too. I've been seeing a therapist for a month now, and discovered this can be attributed toward a weak lymphatic system. Dry sauna's will be your best friend.
  • How bout five hours a day? Killed it in April XD Good luck everyone.
  • Good genetics aside, there are ways to help heal the elasticity of the skin without major surgery or big $$$. During the course of my personal weight loss (and having a baby), I reverted to using skin therapy as taught to me in massage therapy. Long story short, I use a combination of coffee scrubs and home made body wraps…
  • I used to take an Arnica supplement before workouts. That and an intra-workout drink really helped cut down on the muscle soreness to help recover faster.

  • Anger is just a mask for pain. Often times when someone acts angrily it's a desire to be corrected (oxymoron I know). And with the internet a perfect filter for anonymity, people often let their walls become transparent.
  • This is an interesting question. Considering the science behind a particular ingredient found in diet soda, it may help you to understand why it is you're craving it. Aspartame (an artificial sweetner) as I have read is an addictive ingredient that has caused things ranging from bone deterioration, memory loss, and cancer…
  • As a side note, from what I've read you may also be suffering from slipping discs in your lower spine. Be careful with that, and don't neglect your back. The cost of a chiropractor may be one thing, but fixing a herniation of a disc is quite another.
  • Heya, I can definitely empathize with what you're going through. I've had hip displaysia since I was a kid, it has caused a lot of issues throughout my life, and have even been told by a doctor I wouldn't be able to carry a baby full term because of it. Not only did I carry my son full term, but I was able to deliver him…
  • Keisha Juntura
  • They change classes in the school you work at? Do something in between classes. Pushups, wall sits, lunges across the classroom, etc. Figure how many class changes there are in the day and 30 seconds or so for the workouts, you'd probably land a good 5-10 minutes of exercise alone doing that.
  • If you have to think this hard to convince yourself, you probably already know your answer.
  • Maybe going about your exercise a different way might work. Say, three intervals of ten minutes over the course of the day--SOMETHING that raises your heart rate for a consecutive 8-10 minutes a couple times a day still counts as calories burned. Or, even weight lifting using body weight. Pushups (even "girl pushups"), sit…
  • Measure your food. The likelihood of "eating and eating" but still not getting to 1200 sounds a little unlikely. You might surprise yourself with more accurate food measurements (assuming you aren't measuring already.) That, or see a doctor. Sounds like an eating disorder.
  • I'd probably get kicked off the boards if I listed specifically what is in my nightstand. Though i do have to wonder, with all the guns in people's nightstand its starting to become clear how kids are getting them so easily.
  • Hero by Enrique Iglesias... Don't judge me XD
  • Trying to figure out where you get your source regarding skin. I've not read studied or known the skin to "detach" from the muscle. O.o the fascia under the skin i suppose could tear away (anything is possible) but certainly it does heal with time and care. The elasticity comes from the collagen in the skin which is mostly…
  • Been going strong for the past two years getting healthy and strong. I've a plethora of recipe ideas and have designed workout programs for friends family and colleagues. Happy to help in any way I can and always looking for someone to help me too!
  • Wheel or crane. The focus I muster for either feels like meditation--so empowering.
  • *slow clap* There just aren't enough words. Thank you for sharing.
  • this reminds me of one of my favorite motivational quotes... "If you're tired of starting over--stop giving up" Good luck to you this time!
  • This. The most I take is amino acids for recovery from lifting. *shrug* there's rarely ever a shortcut to success.
  • If you have even one set of dumb bells (I started with 15's) I'd suggest p90x.
  • I remember having these exact same feelings after my son was born. It took me a while to realize it, but having him ultimately has embellished my life with so much more than my former self could even fathom. When we as humans go through a change this drastic, it's easy for us to look back at our past selves and reflect on…
  • At 5'2" my lowest was 124 at 22 without much muscle mass. I'm at 130 (now 25 years old) but am shooting for 115 or a lower body fat percentage with the hardest part being the post baby fat I gained after pregnancy. Getting to 18-20% would be awesome.
  • Maybe you could stop caring about what everyone else is doing/not doing and make this work for the sake of yourself? Just sayin--no one is going to reap the benefits of your work but you.
  • Like a lot of situations in our lives we tend to dive in to the water after observing from the surface only to find a torrent underneath that we either sink or swim with. Its not abnormal for humankind to wish for what they felt was more "comfortable" in the past, therefore resisting change. However, you are never given…
