Anyone can add me.

I want friends!

That pic is me when I was skinnier. I was 235 at that point in time, which is the lowest I've been. I use that to motivate myself, even though I wanted to be 40 pounds lighter then.

Gerard Butler.

I'm all for that. I haven't been motivated lately. I had a touch of the flu over the weekend and on Monday and have had some trouble getting back on the horse. I'm leaving this weekend too, so it's just been hard to get into.

Congrats shadlowloss! Onto 30.

Good point. But here's kinda an example of what I mean. Let's say I'm reading the comments section of a story about how obesity has raised the price of airplane tickets and someone comments and say "I have to pay more because these people can't stop eating." Pretty mean spirited, but I also get the point. Oftentimes, when…

It might be competitive Prismatic, but usually I treat it more like a call to change. I just want to clarify: I'm not surrounded by abusive people. Years ago, I remember seeing a guy I hadn't seen in awhile and he said something about how I've gotten fat. He tried to say it in a funny way, but I knew it was true too. Being…

I was the same way Prismatic. I remember crossing this line where apparantly I was fit and I was getting some attention. It felt great at the time. I wish I could go back and stop myself from screwing it all up, but I use the memory of that and how great I felt as motivation

Interesting. I guess it's not as common as I thought.

I'm still here. Was out of town over the weekend and got a touch of the flu the last couple days, so have been a little out of it, but haven't been splurging or anything. Mostly, I've just been following friends progress that I got from this thread.

Been there. It sucks. I got to a point where I felt great, looked good, had lots of energy. Then I went backward. Sometimes I think people are afraid of change, even when it comes to good change. I look back and wonder what the moment was that started the turnaround. If I knew when it was, I'd go back in time and kick my…

Great post shadowloss. I've been working out but yesterday was the first day I ate everything right and I woke up feeling better than usual and a little less bloated. In addition, somehow I was five pounds down. Very likely water weight, but I'll take it for now. So I'm someone who weighs myself every day, despite all…

You're all added. Feel free to update on this thread as you go. I will be posting here every now and then when I hit a landmark. So my low weight in the last decade is 233. I'm about 290 now. 250 is usually a plateau point for me. 280 was my old high for a long time, though I've recently surpassed that. I look forward to…

Hey Zeeland, your peak weight is exactly mine: 294. I'm around 290 now, so I'm in the very early stages. I plan on getting to 200, or maybe 194 just so I can say I'm in the 100 pound club.

Thanks for the adds and advice everyone. I'm highly motivated and intend on taking this all the way. There's some cool people on MFP
-
I've gotten some messages and friend adds and appreciate it. Hopefully, a few of us can try to go through this together.
-
I'll take any friends I can get. I like seeing the feeds on mfp. It's motivating.

I've thought about this a lot and here's what I come up with when I'm completely honest with myself: I don't want it enough. At least not more than I want sugar. We all want to be fit and lose weight and we all know what it takes. It's a matter of passing on junk food and being more active. But I'm guilty of making the…

I created my own--but it's roughly 500 calories. Still, lots of value in it and very delicious. 6 ounces of skim milk 2 shots of espresso ice to the top of the liquid banana peanut butter chocolate protein. Blend until smooth. Fantastic, filling, and I drop when I replace breakfast with one daily.

Good day today. I did 45 minutes of kickboxing through Farrells Extreme Bodyshaping and I stuck to my meal plan: Mostly protein shake kinda stuff. Obviously, I don't feel much different yet, and doing this actually makes me more disgusted with myself because instead of ignoring it, I'm acknowledging it and realizing how…

Thanks for the tips Dvl, and everyone else too. I'll look into the scale. I'm guilty of being someone who looks at my weight too closely and in the past, I've gotten discouraged by it, even when my clothes were fitting better and I was feeling better. This time around, I'm trying not to think in terms of goals. I just want…

What do you mean by food scale Dvl? Sorry...not sure I know what that is. I have a fitbit scale, so when I step on it, it updates my weight and body per cent fat automatically. We're almost exactly in the same boat, so I look forward to seeing your progress as I go. I know a few people who use myfitnesspal, but they're…

Thanks for the reply everyone. I'm going to treat this thread as somewhat of a diary. My routine is three days of kickboxing, three of resistance training and weight lifting. Like I said, I've done this before. I know how to do it. I just never stand by it. I'm 33 and want to prevent health issues in the future. I also…
