I've been hovering over 208-215 for the last few months and I finally saw the scale begin to fluctuate under 207…

  • Hello everyone! I am 5'7" and have been hovering between 170-180 for the past few months. I joined in 2013 at around 200 pounds, half assed it for a while until seeing that I'd worked (lazed, rather) my way up to nearly 230 pounds, and finally kicked into high gear and ended up making it down to 154 pounds by July of 2014.…

  • Hi there, I can definitely understand a sense of where you're coming from with knowledge as well as my own experience. Always having been not only a creature of habit, but an occasional destructive one at that, when I initially began my journey I would make short-lived bets with myself. If I binged, I would vow to purge.…
  • Mexico, NY here, but I work in Syracuse& plan on moving back soon! Would love to team up with some of you from the area for health& fitness support& activities.
  • 5 feet 7 inches tall and 164-166 pounds. Currently I wear a medium in shirts and 12 in pants. About a month ago at 158-160, size 12s were a little loose.
  • Hi there& welcome back! Almost 21 years old, 5 foot 7 inches, and started at around 220 pounds. Finally almost--within 2 pounds that I've been hovering over in my current plateau-- to a healthy weight range at 160-162 for the first time in I have no idea how long. Could not have come this far without this site, so I…
  • My thoughts exactly. It's like a pair of specs without real/corrective lenses or a horror film without some sort of horrific aspect. Absolutely necessary for legitimacy. As well as deliciousness in the case of eggs, it's just not the same without them-- not to mention, both the white and yolk carry certain nutrients.
  • Song For Dead Time- Swans Both versions are beautifully haunting, but the original MG version sounds almost like a Johnny Cash record. Perfection.
  • Super nutty turtle cheesecake and Belgian truffle fries.
  • Hi Fugeela, let me first start out by saying that just through what you've written I can tell that you are a very beautiful person with a deeply full soul-- and your photos (whether current or not) give no indication of being fat, however I know that is NO consolation because only one's self can ultimately dictate the way…
  • Too many. Regina Spektor will always be my nummer eins. Rob Thomas/Matchbox Twenty, Chelsea Wolfe, Florence and the Machine, Metallica, Pearl Jam, Aaron Lewis/Staind, Swans, Flyleaf, Opeth, Heart, Sia, The Cranberries, Stevie Nicks, Angus Stone, Tom Petty, Fiona Apple, Ben Howard.
  • WOW!! That is an amazing transformation, congratulations! I am so sorry about your father, though it is absolutely incredible that you managed to channel these unfortunate circumstances into bettering yourself and creating a healthier you! I could not agree more that this place and the wonderful people who make up our MFP…
  • 20 year old here-- turning 21 in September. Anyone feel free to add, always love to expand this wonderful support system! Coming up on a year as an MFPer in a few months, actively logging everyday and enjoy this knowledge and accountability so much that I plan to continue tracking beyond my goals and into maintenance.
  • You're more than welcome to add! I have a few little tricks and plans put in place that have really helped me in this journey. I'm in the same boat as you when it comes to exercise, but I've found that it's best to have an initial written plan in place with progressing stages that are challenging yet doable-- for both…
  • I bought this adorable pair of high-waisted trousers December of 2012 hoping they'd fit better eventually, but ended up stuffing them in the back of my closet along with the rest of my greatest buys only to idiotically try them on last summer knowing I was even heavier than when I bought them-- would not budge over my…
  • I have it and definitely recommend it! I don't use it yet as often as I'd like, but when I do I like to alternate between 2 Zumba songs and 8 minutes on my stationary bike for about 40 minutes that way I can switch it up without getting tired of one or the other and can keep my stamina throughout the entire burn. The…
  • So glad to welcome you, Sophie! Feel free to add me also-- this is a great place when it comes to support systems. Full of encouraging people that provide motivation and inspiration, as well as nudge you to be your own inspiration in this journey. Take care, good luck, and I hope to hear from ya!
