  • Congrats!!! It's always exciting when a fellow PCOSter gets preggers! Keeps me hopeful!!!!! :D
  • Thanks! I appreciate it! :)
  • My doctor prescribed it but I haven't been taking it long. I still don't get why she did when I told her I want to TTC. I don't see the point if it takes months to work. Last month I stopped it when my chart said I possibly ovulated then started it again once my period started. I don't want to risk the chance of birth…
  • I tried Ovia but I prefer Fertility Friend. Maybe it's because I'm so use to it.
  • Well my waiting ended. On to the next cycle.
  • After looking at some of the other tests I took i realize it was an evap line. According to Fertility Friend I'm only 4dpo right now if I truly did ovulate. I'm gonna wait til at least 8dpo to test again.
  • It was negative....but it's still early.
  • I took a test this morning and I swear I see a line but it's soooooo faint. I'm gonna take another one in the morning. It would be funny if I did end up pregnant since we weren't trying! I've been told by so many that it will happen when you stop trying. :p Keeping my fingers crossed!!!!!!!
  • I downloaded it and I'm getting use to how it works. I also use Fertility Friend. It's not a bad app.
  • For right now we haven't been trying but not preventing either. Hopefully I can just end up pregnant soon and it stick. I've stopped the spiro for now til I start my period and know for sure I'm not pregnant. I've not felt like myself lately and have been having what seems like possibly pregnancy symptoms but I have had…
  • My doctor gave me Spironolactone. ----Spironolactone is a drug used to treat excessive hair growth. Spironolactone antagonizes the male hormone (through the androgen receptor) at the skin level, directly stopping new hair growth. How this process works is not yet understood. Spironolactone is taken in doses ranging from 50…
  • I told her that I was TTC and she didn't seem to think it mattered. I think she doubts that I will even be able to get pregnant at this point. I think next time I have an appointment I'm taking someone with me to see if it's just me thinking she's not listening to me or not. Last year, when I had a different doctor, I did…
  • I try to not eat after 7pm. I've noticed on days that I have had more calories than I should or foods I shouldn't eat, if I don't eat late I still lose weight or at least stay the same. I also try to walk between 2 and 5 miles a day.
  • I figured out why she said not to try but it's crazy that I had to research on my own to figure it out. I'm on Spironolactone which can cause birth defects. I told her I was TTC and she never made this connection or said this was why she didn't want me to TTC. She wants me to have 3 months of periods. I still am debating…
  • Talking to my husband we decided not to try but not prevent either. I'll do the 3 months of having a period and if after that she doesn't help wIth the fertility factor then I'll find someone new. I'll keep this updated as things happen. Keep your fingers crossed that I end up pregnant anyway!
  • Welcome! A little background: I am 31 I also have PCOS. I went 10 years without a period after I stopped birth control pills. I never took my PCOS seriously until I got married. We have been trying for over 3 years with no success. We did 3 rounds of clomid and I didn't ovulate at all. I've been overweight my entire life…
  • I once went 10 years without a period. I have to have something like Provera or BCPs to get one in the first place. To this day I haven't had a "natural" period.
  • I have taken Provera many times but haven't had any pain from it. You can always call your doctor and see what they say. Hope you feel better!
  • Hello, I was diagnosed with PCOS at 16. I took BC for awhile but they effected my moods to the point of depression so I stopped. I went 10 years without a period and still don't get them without medication. I never took my PCOS seriously until I got married and wanted to start a family. My family doctor started me on…

  • I'm not new to MFP but this is the first time I have posted anything on the message boards. I'm trying to lose over 100lbs so I can hopefully get pregnant without any medication. I was diagnosed with PCOS at 16 and after stopping BC at 18, I went 10 years without a period and gained a lot of weight. I didn't take my PCOS…
