Hey :) Feel free to add me, I'm 22 and just finished university (from the UK). Been using this site for ages and lost around 10 stone but gained back around 2 stone during my final semester so now working on losing that again

Just comes down to personal preference. Whatever makes you feel better during the workout will make you more likely to have a good session, which is the most important thing. If you look around online you can find people that have done incredibly well doing it either way

I'd like to join, need some extra motivation :)

From Cornwall and living in Plymouth here, feel free to add :)

I'll just point out that the original post is from 2014, I have no idea how you managed to find a post this old... haha

If you gain weight really fast it's usually water weight (from not drinking enough water or eating more sodium than usual) or just food being held in your stomach. If that's the case then that weight will drop off really fast. I gained about 6lbs between Christmas and NYE and lost it all in about 3 days once I got back to…

Hey :). I've sent you a friend request. I've lost around 130lb so far so it's definitely doable! Anyone is free to add me, I need some extra motivation for the last 30lb or so!
-
Hey, I've added you, and anyone else is welcome to add me too! I've lost around 130lb so far but been off track for a while (was up to 144lb lost a while ago) so need a few new friends to help me get motivated again. Only got around 30-40lb to lose now so hoping I can lose that before I graduate in summer :)
-
I'm from the UK too, Plymouth :). Don't have a fitbit though. Got about 30-40lb left to lose Feel free to add me anyone, always good to have more friends in the same time zone!

Hey, I've sent you a friend request :) Always happy to have more people to motivate and be motivated by. I'm from the UK though so usually around at different times to most other people on here, and some stuff in my diary might seem strange haha

Hey, I've send you a friends request :) I've been on the site for a while too but haven't been using it properly for the last couple of months, so also need to get some new active friends now that I'm getting back into it properly!
-
hey, welcome to the community! And good luck with your journey :)
-
Sort of hoping the "Hello World!" is a coding reference.. haha But even if it's not I've sent you a request, I'm around the same age, from the UK :)

Hey, I've only just made my instagram, I'm a bit behind... haha. Will follow the ones that have posted names, mine's dalley056 so feel free to follow me. I've lost around 10 stone so far, currently working on the last 20-40lb and beginning to get into lifting :)

I really need to get around to taking a new current picture, but here's me at 323lb and 188lb. Hope this helps motivate some people a bit. When I started I had no idea what I was doing and seriously lacked motivation, but I've now lost over 10 stone (currently at around 182) so if I can do it then others definitely can…

Hey, I've added you :) And feel free to add me anyone, trying to find some friends to motivate me for the last bit of weight loss. 135lb down so far and about 20-40lb left!

Cornish guy here! Looking to get some new friends to get back on track after a couple of weeks off track, lost about 135lb so far with about 20-40 left to go!
-
2010-2015 Heaviest weight was 323lb (somewhere around the third pic), current is around 180

I change how I have my protein a lot based on what I feel like doing. Last few days I've just been mixing it with oatbran and milk and heating it to make chocolate porridge. Powder I use I love the taste of even with just milk though so might not work for you. I use ON gold standard 100% whey (currently rocky road flavor,…

323lbs to 188lbs, so 135lbs lost so far. Still got more to lose, not sure how much more yet but I'm just trying to judge that as I go!

Mentor Info* 21 Years old * Male * From the UK * Started at 323lbs (first time I weighed myself, probably a bit more before that since I'd been trying to eat less before) * Now at 188lbs = 135lbs lost * Not at goal yet What I can offer Hey! Willing to help anyone that feels like they need help or support from somebody like…

Most good protein powders will be around 23-26g of protein for about 110-130 calories per serving. I use ON Gold Standard Rocky Road flavour, same as somebody else before said. To be honest I'd just say get any decent brand that has low sugar, if you want it to be less than 100 calories then have less than a scoop, since…

@ihda09 Pretty much just stuck to around what MFP told me, since it seemed to get it right for me most of the time. Didn't pay much attention to the carbs / fats / protein for most of it, just stuck to staying near the calorie goal. Focusing on making sure I get more protein now that I go to the gym but still not really…
-
@UnknownAX0 Don't really have a goal weight at the moment. Just seeing how I look as I go since lots of people seem to look different at the same weight even if they're the same weight so decided that'd be the best way to do it :)
-
Thanks for all the comments! Hope it was able to give some people a bit of motivation :)
-
@Xandersmommy I have started weight lifting, just don't really gain much muscle while in a deficit, it's more just so I don't lose any more muscle as I continue to lose weight at the moment :)
-
Yeah Kim's right, changed now, thanks for pointing that out :P
-
