  • Hi, I'm from Dunedin. Feel free to add me as your friend too!!!
  • I alternate my JM workouts, use them more long term than the 6 weeks or 4 weeks etc. But I would recommend the Ripped in 30 - it's way better than the 30 day shred in my opinion. If you enjoyed them, why not just make your own routine and mix-it up a bit.
  • Stop eating EVERYTHING that contains refined SUGAR... and you will be amazed!!!
  • I watched this show whilst I was in the UK. It was a great program, I think about that advise often and often makes me have soup. I would also recommend having a decent amount of protein in the soup, though beans and chicken to maintain those hunger levels. Yumm... chicken soup, which is exactly what I'm having tonight,…

  • I'm in Dunedin, been on MFP fairly consistently from about the end of February! Moved over here nearly 3 years ago from the UK to start my PhD.
  • I added half an avocado to my 2 egg omelette this morning... I wouldn't recommend it, tasted ok, but way too much fat (31g), so have been gassy ever since

  • Rock Music!!! Queen, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Wolfmother, Rage Against the Machine, The White Stripes, KT Tunstall (prob technically not rock, but it makes me smile when it plays after a vulgar song), Electric Six, AC DC, Kings of Leon. I choose songs which are around 5 minutes, so when I'm out for a run I don't need to keep…
  • Ummm... me too. I'm 5"1ft, with very tiny wrists and hands, so very surprised when my wrist measurement came out with large frame! When I lived in the UK I always bought from the petite section, normal clothes never fitted me, so I vote the the elbow measurement is the best  (Also I have seen radiographs of my…
  • I would LOVE to do this!!!! I've always had a desire to run an army assault course - strange I know, but hey, it takes all sorts! I do like a challenge! I'm in Dunedin, and don't have the time/money to go to any of the events in the North Island. Do you know if they hold anything similar for us Southerners???

  • I always buy my skinless chicken breasts when they are on special. I buy a large pack then cut them up into 100g job-lots. Sometimes I slice, dice or leave as large pieces; wrap it up in glad-wrap, label then put in the freezer. As they are small packages they only take a few mins to defrost in the microwave and then you…

  • Hey Zoe... I've been lactose intolerance for the last four years, however in the last six months it has gone! Amazing.... so first I would say, try to stick with it, it could just be a temporary thing. I have been taking probiotic tablets for the last six months and am sure this has contributed a lot to becoming tolerant…
  • Your results are AMAZING!!! Congratulations on your very hard work. I'm 5ft1" too, so really interested in your calorie burn with Insanity. Currently my BMR is around 1200, and I do eat back my exercise calories. How many calories do you burn during the insanity workout? How long is the workout each day?
  • Hiya! I'm 5ft 1" too. Currently I am 128lb and wanting to get down to around 118lb!! Feel free to add me as a friend. It is good to compare diaries with someone in the same calorie range.
  • Just read this bit..... Just a thought, but in some way do you think you get nervous/have a panic attack. Therefore you want to leave the situation immediately and your body "thinks" of an excuse to remove yourself, i.e. you get the urge to pee thus making you go to the bathroom, which is a safe comfortable place??? I'm…
  • How much do you drink? I often drink 2-3 liters of water - just water - per day. This isn't including herbal teas, coffee and black tea. I average going to the loo every 40-60 mins. The more caffeine I drink the more I go as this is a diuretic, which means that even if I only drink one mug of coffee/tea I will pee more…
  • 11/4: 58.5kg (129lb) (ummm... Easter wasn't good to me! Hopefully this week will be better) NSV for this week: Walking 24km (15 miles) in the NZ bush in around 9 hours (including stops)

  • ^^^^ This... I've had this problem for years, I have changed shoes countless times, it doesn't work. Just try and lifting them and putting up with the pins and needles :ohwell:
  • You can always change the basic percentages that MPF calculates your macros for you. Personally, I have 40% carbs, 30% protein and 30% fat. These suit my eating habits and still give me goals to reach rather than second guessing-myself and potentially over eating. You can change them under: MY HOME > Goals > Change Goals >…
  • I would suggest some kind of therapy. It sounds like you have deeper psychological issues that need to be addressed before that you can move on and feel good enough about yourself to understand that YOU deserve to be happy and loose weight. For a starting point, if you don't feel comfortable going to see someone, I would…
  • ^^^ THIS!!!! The most important thing of all. YOU are worth it!!
  • For breakfast or a sweet treat I was recommended (and tried lots) this recipe: * 1 peeled apple (poached in water with cinnamon), 3T natural unsweetened yogurt and 1T LSA (Linseed, Sunflower seeds and Almonds). Around about 200cals but well worth it!!! So yummy, fresh and healthy!!!
  • Just a small note about your food diary, although you are still counting the calories, you could learn more about the food you eat if your values were recorded properly. For example, the Galaxy - Chocolate Pieces, only show calories but not the quantities of fat, carbs and protein. I think that keeping track of the…
  • I would suggest some star-jumps.... but if your calves are giving you grief and you don't want to not use your lower body, then how about some arms circles or some boxing/punching moves for your upper body to raise that heart rate? You can even do those moves sitting down and still get "warm".
  • Yeah, thanks for the advise. Anyone else have any thoughts about supplements? I would love to understand them a little bit better!
  • I've gotten into fitness classes at my local gym. I try to go to Step, Martial and Pump at least once a week each. Just starting a weekly boxing class too, which I love!!! I also cycle everyday down and up the hills of Dunedin!
  • My diary is open to my friends. Feel free to add me if you like. I am aiming for around 1000cals per day.

  • "The diet restricts foods such as grains, beans, dairy products, salt, sugar, potatoes or any type of food that agricultural development helped create" THIS IS RUBBISH!!! All of those foods existed!!! They are NATURAL! How can anybody even believe that agricultural developed created food. It certainly created MORE food,…
