Bet that was a great feeling! Good job for trying something a little out of comfort zone :)

How much is a decent food scale??

Also a high school teacher here and worried about the same thing. I have been trying to get up earlier but adjusting summer to fall has been really hard for me, so not sure if I will make it. I guess we will have to tear ourselves from work and actually get home/to the gym! :) Would love other teacher friends, feel free to…

Have you called your pharmacist and asked about possible side effects, or is there a leaflet you got with it? Maybe it would help to post to the "Big" (ie. Main) forums with the med name in the title? Hope you find some information!

I am super hidden as a teacher, so I will friend whomever posts :flowerforyou:

Also saw this and couldn't resist posting...watch the video at 0:53. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DP3MFBzMH2o&feature=youtu.be I am SO GLAD these aren't in Level 2...hopefully not in 3, either. I still feel like I'm working that hard during the workouts, though!

Hear hear! Maybe we can treat ourselves when we finish??

Several people here have said they mute Jillian and put in their own music to just follow along. I tend to do one day on, one day off...it allows me to do elliptical/walks/other aerobics at the gym/rest. Hope you can find a way to make things work

I don't have anything more to add...I just want to say how GREAT and SUPPORTIVE everyone is here. I love MFP, especially our little corner here where we care about each other. Best wishes, lady, and let us know how things go if you want to :)

Very smart post here! I also try to get a workout buddy or appointment across town to meet someone if possible, as it will keep me from skipping. The difference now is that when someone cancels on me, instead of just doing nothing I still go and work out! That wouldn't have happened even a month or two ago, and I think…

It's fun to have people to just talk with, and this group feels like a little community, so I think it's great! People are all over the board...some newbies just starting the DVD, others are already in Level 3. I JUST started Level 2 yesterday. Take it at whatever pace you want  I also had a weird day this Saturday;…

We may just be...coincidence that we met up during Jillian Michaels? Maybe not, hehe

I am not married, so I am no expert...but were I in your situation, I would try to calm myself and ask to talk to him one on one. Tell him how what he does makes you (and the kids!) feel, and ask if he would consider couples counseling. If he doesn't care what any of you feel and he won't even consider counseling, then you…

Just did my first day of Level 2....sometimes I had to modify the already modified moves, haha. I tried my best for 6:30am, maybe tomorrow will be better! I agree that all the plank stuff is HARD, especially plank jumps and twists. We will get stronger each time we do it!

Same for me, haha :)

Good thing to map it out, and great that he is supporting you :) I am trying some things out this week (work days before students return) to see what I can handle, so we shall see!

~ I love ketchup and pasta sauce, but hate tomatoes. ~ Libido is higher than anyone else I have been with...argh. ~ Try to avoid dealing with money at all costs. As long as my bank account is in the black, I rarely look at it. ~ I would eat every Cheeto in existence if I could get away with it. While drinking all the…

On non-Jillian days, I will do an aerobics class, go walking, or rest :)
-
I use 5's but sometimes have to drop one to keep going (side lunges/anterior raises, anyone?). I would say use whatever works you out the best without injuring yourself. Best of luck :)

As a teacher, I can tell you that this is pretty standard across the board. This poster makes a GREAT point about schools not getting high budgets, and their last consideration would be food. Careful with school lunches...even if they SAY they have fruits and vegetables available, I've gone up there and often it is either…

Congratulations on the loss, you can see differences in the before and after :) Question: how did you get a graph, is that from MFP and, if so, how do you get to it?

OP, THANK YOU for posting this...I have been wondering for a while! I just log it as hiking, but whoever said calisthenics has a good idea as well :) I miss hiking...

I have had the same problem of pants being too loose/tight from repeated washings (some materials stretch and some shrink) and a different size fitting. Whoever recommended Old Navy had a good point about them offering different lengths, tho for me they are too *short*...Ann Taylor offers petites as well, may actually be…

I work out so that I can have more calories for food...well it isn't the ONLY reason I work out, but it's a major factor :blushing: Feel free to add me, fellow foodies!
-
Totally understand; I finally took a rest day Saturday and was wanting to work out the whole day!

5'4" and need to lose 40 pounds as well. I try to be encouraging :)
-
Would also really like to see GMO's labeled, and much more research done as to their possible effects. Will send a friend request :)
-
That's awesome that he's finally on track! I remember you posting that he was complaining about not seeing results, but then he lost several pounds...I bet that helped a bit  Hope he doesn't try to push himself and get hurt more, though...you may have to tie him down. Great goal to push for! I'm going to get a new…

All of those things suck, especially your man getting tendinitis :( I completely understand the "perfect storm" throwing you off when school starts again, I am also worried because that ruins me as well. However, we can try our best! You probably hate this (and I do as well), but maybe you could try a treadmill/elliptical…

Anyone may feel free to add me, I try to encourage; do unto others, right? :)
