  • As someone who's only 1" taller than you at 5" and 1lb heavier, I can relate. I used to be quite overweight and lost a lot of weight, I am at 123lbs now. When I lost weight, I lingered at 121 for a while and got down as low as 113lbs - but I couldn't maintain that. I'm really trying to get below 120 again, but it's so…
  • I hit my protein goal today for the first time in a while.
  • I did not use one, but I didn't start my healthy eating and weight loss journey until I was 6 months post partum. I didn't use one and I don't think I missed out on anything.
  • I have a 6 and 8 year old, I think the recommendation is more like 1400-1500 for growing kids. But children are GROWING exponentially. My 8 year old put on 8lbs in the past 6 months (I hear kids grown a lot more in the spring/summer). That was like ~17% body weight increase! He's still thin as a beanpole, I don't know…
  • They don't let you NOT. My kids are on Children's Health Insurance Program - we didn't do well childs in 2020 due to covid, wanted to cut down on chances of running into someone sick. No real reason to go, just because the insurance wants us to. We got phone calls every 3 months and threatening letters that our…
  • I'm in my 30s, but I've only lost weight seriously in my 30s. Compared to weight training in my 20s, it's hard. I don't recover as well. I honestly think the biggest factor is sleep. In my 20s - no kids/1 kid while I was lifting. I was able to sleep when I needed extra sleep. I had work, gym, and sleep. Eating was a…
  • I take a lot of supplements, they don't make me nauseous. I take a lot related to stress and sleep, because I have GAD and a sleep phase disorder (the latter self diagnosed, but it doesn't really make a difference). I have a why for all of them. I take a multivitamin that I have selected with the best bio available…
  • My feet 'expanded' in pregnancy, and stayed that way after, until I lost weight, now I am back to pre-pregnancy size.
  • Ah, the moral superiority position. I respect people's freedom to make their own medical decisions. I don't think my decisions are morally superior to other people's positions. I believe everyone should have the right to make their own informed decisions for themselves and their families.
  • I'm 5'0" and 123lbs. I eat 35/30/35 p/f/c at 1500 calories right now, it's 131g/50g/131g. I struggle to reach my protein goals and usually go over in fat, the carbs are usually close. I don't watch it too closely. I'm losing at 1500, if I were to maintain I would be eating 1800. I would keep the protein at ~130g and…
  • I have only taken it in pills, not powder. I vaguely remember being a little gassy the first time I took it, but not after. I didn't notice a change in performance so I didn't keep buying it.
  • I was also going to suggest an electrolyte imbalance. Plenty of water is fine, but if you are sweating you are also losing sodium. I like this electrolyte drink: https://www.curehydration.com/ I get it at Walmart, not from their website.
  • I don't understand this - you are fully vaccinated, do you not trust the vaccine?
  • This is how it is for me, except I have no trouble 80% of the time. but it's when it changes. When I go from a quiet room to a loud one, or when I go from loud to quiet, or someone starts talking to me close when I've been listening to a speaker across the room. I have trouble with the change, then I adjust and I'm fine.…
  • I am short and I can't stand "compact" or adjustable stride ellipticals adjusted to a short stride. I am really picky about ellipticals. My toes go numb at the gym but I have Raynaud's.
  • I have been tested for hearing loss and mechanically my hearing is near perfect. I still struggle to hear people in masks. Even over the phone! It is the muffling affect I assume plus I think I have an auditory processing difficulty on my end.
  • I use my Fitbit as a watch and to track my sleep primarily.
  • I agree. I don't know how "You look great!" said with a friendly smile could be taken as offensive, I really don't. I mean, I could see how it could be said inappropriately, but most adults know the difference - you can have a genuine smile and eye contact and it's a compliment, you can do the lingering eye sweep and it's…
  • Mine are 35/30/35, I can't say I always hit them they are goals. P/F/C That gets me close to 1g protein per lb of body weight. I started with 30/30/40 P/F/C, but I am cutting so I had to drop some cals and that also lowered my protein grama. So I stole some from carbs to up the protein %
  • I have mine set based on TDEE (so, custom) but it is really close. I only see adjustments when I am more active - workout days or days when I am out and about instead of working from home.
  • I think mine is open, I do 1500 (don't look today I blew it wide open)
  • Enjoy! Get Beat Saber.
  • Fit XR switched to a subscription model. It's like the cost of a budget gym membership now. We are also using a free fitness app through SideQuest - VRWorkout. It's a little clunky - it's free and not an Occulus app, but it is fun and works. It makes me do burpees.
  • Thanks - I'm doing fantastic! I was obese when I had N-cups, they were BIG and heavy. I was able to carry all my children, and breastfed them all - it's good for both their health and mine. Now I've lost weight and I'm maintaining a healthy weight and an active lifestyle. I know that without surgery I'll never have perky…
  • I do the same thing with a silicone ring, not as pretty but the silicone is "grippy". I wear a ring sizer now, but it is annoying. I was trying to wait and make sure my weight loss was final and permanent before realizing my rings. At this point I need to get it done though!
  • I use the VR and play Beat Saber most evenings for cardio. It is great. As DH puts it "it gamifies exercise" - so you enjoy it and don't even realize you are doing it. I got 76 active minutes on my Fitbit last night.
  • What makes the biggest impact is pregnancy (regardless of whether you breastfeed or not) and genetics. I unfortunately never had perky breasts, even as a teen. Genetics. 3 pregnancies, breastfeeding (which does change your nipples)...well let's just say they are at the other end of the spectrum than perky. I was up to a…
  • Check with a doctor for sure. Maybe a physical therapist? Hip/groin can be so many things. I had pain in the bone area there, hip impingement - bothered me on squats not deadlifts. I did stretches, but mostly I worked on my ankle mobility.
  • Xylitol for sweetening coffee for myself and DH. I heard it was both good for teeth and good for gut bacteria. He usually has stevia but I can't stand it. DH puts a lot more sweetener than me in his coffee. He had this weird diarrhea that went on for over week until I realized I was poisoning him in his coffee (xylitol…
  • I use my trend weight for just about everything. If I let myself claim the lows, I will have to also use the highs. I would rather use the trend. Just how I like it.
