Definitely recommend speaking to a podiatrist. I under pronated for a while but normal to slightly high arches. I did PT for my ankles and don't have any more problems, but I don't run. I spent a while strength training my legs/ankles and I don't have any significant problems and I wear barefoot shoes primarily.

As a short person, safety pins are my "emergency hem" holders for pants...

I am not a musician. I found when I had a baby and I would rock the baby and pat their back it counted as steps...I found it amusing.

Uh yeah - let me tell you a story. a couple of weeks ago I was walking past someone in a lawn chair at my kids soccer game and I saw the can. I asked - she said it was good it tasted like regular Dr. Pepper but slightly less sweet. The next day I went grocery shopping and I bought some (found it at Kroger). It was…

Drop the energy drinks. You can get an entire 12 pack of diet soda for the price of a 4 pack of energy drinks. I wouldn't be the slim person I am today without Coke Zero - it got me through until they released Dr. Pepper Zero. You can pry the Dr. Pepper Zero from my cold dead hands, I'll take the cellulite. For the record,…

For me, the oil packed 2.6 oz packet of tuna is 150 calories. The dukes mayo is 100 calories for T - I usually do 0.5 T so 50 calories. That is 200 calories. I also add pickle relish, which has 0 calories on the label. It adds moisture without measurable calories.

I used to do it all the time, when we were on WIC we got way more milk than the kids would drink. I made yogurt with it (you also got yogurt on WIC) so the kids ate it up, like faster than I could make. Anyway, I made it in glass jars with a heating pad, in a slow cooker, and lastly - in my ninja foodi (which is like doing…

I've gone to the gym since the state allowed them to open on May 4th of 2020. I switched gyms to a closer one since I was going to my original one for the childcare (which hasn't come back) in July of 2020 and have gone 3x a week since. I am fine with conversation from an appropriate social distance, I even welcome it.

This is beyond the help an online forum can give. You need help from a medical professional.

I am 5'0" and losing weight at 1500 calories, you don't have to go super low. When you say bulked, did you just gain weight or did your lift weights and build muscle? If you want shape, you need to build muscle - you need to lift weights. It is the only way to change shape, within reason. Fat loss just makes you bigger or…

Okay, we'll call it an "off diet" day. Unfortunately, I tried to convince my body that calories consumed on holy ground should not contribute to weight gain, but alas, it was not moved by my arguement.

Cheat day for me is Sunday, I eat my regular calories + one fancy coffee at church, comes out to be maintenance calories for me. Basically, it means eating at maintenance 1 day a week, at a deficit all the others.

I think you are a little early, but it's coming. https://techstartups.com/2021/04/12/are-you-ready-for-the-covid-19-monitoring-microchip-to-be-implanted-under-your-skin-the-us-government-just-reveals-a-new-covid-19-implantable-microchip/

I have started focusing on getting at least 7, preferably 8 hours of sleep (actual sleep, may mean being in bed 9 hours!). It is too early to know how much it helps, but my weight vis going down and I am having no trouble staying under my calorie goal and I haven't felt hungry or deprived at all. I have plenty big energy I…

It depends, If they are severely overweight and under the direction of a doctor - they can lose much faster. On my 600lb life, they lose 30-50lbs in two months to get their surgery. It's a different ball game. When I started, I lost 35lbs in 6 months - I was breastfeeding a child under 1 - I consider that kind of…

I don't fit the physical criteria, but I've never used booty bands. They may give some incremental benefits, but they don't help you use more weight. I have built significant musculature in my thighs and glutes without the use of booty bands - just weights. Heavy weights and time.

One thing I forgot to add was that I was going back to the church I quit going to with my family when I went off to college...so I was about the size I am now. They probably really don't think anything changed! (well, the husband and kids...) My problem isn't that people don't believe me, but when people bring up trying to…

Actually it has a lot to do with it. https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2014/07/20/sleep-loss-weight-gain/7507503/ https://www.nih.gov/news-events/nih-research-matters/molecular-ties-between-lack-sleep-weight-gain https://www.hsph.harvard.edu/nutritionsource/sleep/

How weird it is when you get to a place where most the people in your life only know you how you are now. I've started my job, started going to a new church, started going to a new gym - all since losing weight. No one in my life knows I was ever overweight. In my mind, it's a "recent development", but to everyone else,…

I think it plays a bigger role than most people think, on a macro level, not day-to-day. I heard someone once say missing an hour of sleep to do an hour of exercise was like stepping over $100 to pick up a quarter. Sleep is really essential to a lot of body functions. Chronic sleep deprivation can lead to many negative…

There is a big sign at my gym (0k, it's a regular piece of paper size) by the deadlift platform. Says people have to wear shoes to prevent FUNGUS. It kind of makes me giggle. Fungus. Still a fun word.

I have used Morton Lite Salt, it tastes like salt to me.

We have one, but I have only used it to check due to covid. You don't know when you have a fever? With kids you can tell by looking and gauging behavior, let alone feeling their forehead. Their cheeks get flushed, they have thin skin and it shows almost instantly when they have an elevated temperature. May not work with…

I always retain several pounds of water weight, like 2-3lbs, on my period. I get a big drop about the 4th day of my period that water just vanishes.

I decided I wanted to live a long and healthy life and raise my children with good habits. It was just a choice I made, not a reaction to an outside force.

Me too! First day logging in a long while. Weight has crept up a little with the cold and 2020, trying to keep a lid on it. Also having some digestive upset and I want a food log.

I quit drinking sugar soda and buying large bags of gummy bears - that was what started my weight loss.
-
I lost a lot of weight. I only have loose skin on my lower abdomen and my breasts, and one might argue that is due to the 3 pregnancies and almost 8 years of breastfeeding and not due to the obesity.

My company gives all the employees $40 in "benefit", you can use it for gym fees, yoga class, your morning coffee, whatever. It pays for both mine and my husband's gym membership. We are a virtual company so finding a gym to sponsor memberships through would be a nightmare. This was you can gym if you like but if you don't…

Me too. The nose is designed to filter allergens and warm the air to the appropriate temperature, when you bipass it with your mouth it dries the mouth and sucks in all the pollens. That said I don't think it is that big of a deal.
