I’m getting married in September & my dress is a bit snug now

Please add me! Need to lose at least 20 lbs.
-
This! I am 32.5-25.5-39. I'm actually okay with everything else but these hips just won't go away! I'd want to get them down to a 36 at least. Don't see it happening though
-
So glad that I found this thread. I still have 10 lbs to lose and seeing all of these photos really help motivate me to keep going! 20 lbs down so far!

I started in mid-late July and have lost about 14 lbs so far. I was eating between 1,100-1,400 calories. Then I started to plateau so I tried to keep it on the lower side of that range to see if it would help. So it's an average of like 3.5 lbs per month that I've lost so far. Not too much this month though. I've only lost…

And I do measure my fruit and count each chip or cracker that I eat.

Hi guys, I'm trying to attach a few pictures of my diary for 1 day as an example. Of course not every day is like this, but I do mostly live off of yogurt and protein Quaker oat bars. Some fruit here & there. Dinner usually varies since I've been trying some new things but it doesn't seem to me that I could be off by so…

If I can reach my goal, I'd love to be able to buy a nice pair of shorts to wear in the summer. I avoid wearing shorts like the plague because I hate my fat thighs
-
I mean, I'd accept this answer if I worked at a fast food drive thru and stood in one spot all day. I'm not sure you understand what nurses do.
-
I'm only 23
-
I thought about doing that but I'm not very active on my days off so I figured I should keep it as "sedentary". Not sure if that's right or not.
-
I don't really know. I was just estimating how many lbs it would take for me to look the way I want to? I'm pretty small already down to my waist, but I carry a lot of my weight on my hips, butt, and legs (mostly my thighs). So I think if I lost more weight overall, they might be smaller over time. I understand what you…

That's what I don't understand either. I say "light" because I don't want to overestimate, since I'm not "running", but I am pretty active at work, considering that I barely ever sit down for 12-13hours in a shift. So I guess it's more like "moderate"? Either way, my jawbone is only picking up about 6,000 steps a day. The…

I wish I had the nerve to go to a gym! I'm too out of shape to even think about going haha. I'd have to lose the weight first then go to the gym to build muscle after, once I don't look so fat lol.

Wow! So many wonderful goals. Mine aren't as extreme I guess. My goals: -Exercise at least 3x week for 30 mins. I work 12hr shifts 3x week on foot so I don't have much time after work. -Eat some type of fruit AND vegetable every day. Hopefully more than 1 & 1 right ;) -Decrease my body fat % by 5% and increase muscle. -Be…

I've just added myself to this group. I have a scale readily available so it's up to you guys when we weigh in.
-
Thank you so much for explaining it so thoroughly! I've set everything up exactly like this
-
Hey everyone! Feel free to add me as well :) need all the support I can get.
-
Thanks everyone! I'm going to the doctor tomorrow so we'll see how it goes.

Hi everyone! I'm graduating from college in 8 weeks so I really want to lose some weight before then! My long-term goal is to lose 25-30lbs but for graduation I'm only aiming for 10-15 since I have so much schoolwork to do for the next 8 weeks. I definitely need the motivation! Good luck to everyone :)
-
I confess that because I only have 8 more weeks left of school I'm going to say "f" it and not worry about my grades this term (whoops). Sorry it's not MFP related!
-
Thank you! I really do think that it's all in my head. I limit myself and give up too quickly because I'm either too embarrassed to be so out of shape, or I simply think that I can't do it and I'm wasting my time. I gotta start changing that mindset!
-
@scottacular Thanks for the advice! I didn't think of trying to buy stuff only in sizes that I need. It makes so much sense.
-
Good tip haha. I used to do that so easily. Hopefully I'll be able to get there again!
-
I know! This is so true and it's probably the hardest part about all of this. I'm such a pessimist and an overall negative person. But I do believe wholeheartedly that if I choose to think positively, there will be a change. I just had it happen to me yesterday when I tried to jog. I tried to think positive and I did so…

Wow! Congratulations, you look great. That is a huge accomplishment in just 2-3 months. That's amazing! I'm so happy for you :) thank you for sharing your story.
-
Thanks for the support! :) I'm glad that you said that it might slow me down but it won't stop me. Great encouragement, thank you so much!
-
This entire post has made me feel SO much better! Thank you so much! It's so easy to be hard on yourself and expect everything to be a piece of cake. But seriously thank you, I'll keep all of that in mind!
-
Hi! I didn't think to do that (planning that far ahead). Thank you for your advice! It was very helpful :)
