I didn't when I was younger & ended up having my ankle reconstructed twice ... Highly recommend wearing shoes to save yourself from 17 months straight on crutches, having your 12 year old daughter dress you for a year & 3 1/2 years of PT!

My miles need adjusting ... W1= 14 W2= 22 W3= 8 darn injuries again! W4= 26 MTD = 70

7/28-9.25 MTD = 64.25 Bummer ... Won't be able to hit my goal this month. Injury knocked me completely down! Two months to the day for my next 1/2 so hopefully i can keep it under control. I'll select 85 miles for August

I agree with getting the right fit shoes at a running store with a treadmill. As for socks, I paid $11 a pair & they are worth every penny! Get what is right for you. I mix it up ... Sometimes before, at times during lunch and for the most part after 8:00 at night (visits with Mom after work limits exercise time even more). The important part for me is to "Just Do It!"
