Great NSVs! Laughed at the underwear one. I have gone down two sizes since I started; and while I have replaced some clothes hadn't done so with the underwear until today. Luckily I had jeans on; but the underwear kept falling down. I have now replaced it.

Agree with MaeMiller. The only time I have had trouble, the sensors haven't been wet enough.

Curious myself, I have a heart rate monitor, and my zone is 111-145 so sometimes when I run i get into the 150's. Is that a bad thing?

You won't be alone in the weight loss battle for long. You have come to the right site for support. The people here are fantastic! I started here at the beginning of the year I had 55 lbs to lose in my first goal. I have lost 31 of that 55; and I attribute it to the support I have gotten from the people on MFP. We all have…

It's always easier after to come up with something to say. Try and blow it off; she sounds like someone that will always try to judge. But if it comes up again tell her again that we simply can not afford to purchase the trophy and that's why we made the decision we did. Explain it was a choice of food on the table for my…

I ran the recipe through, and came up with the numbers. The recipe makes the same as 9 cans of soup which each can serves 2.5 people so total recipe serves 22.5 people. Per serving to compare to what is on a can of cream soup: Calories 39 Carbs 7 Fat 0 Protein 2 Sodium 33 Calcium 8

Yogurt and Mini Babybel Light Cheese. I hated yogurt my whole life, but after a surgery I was told I needed to rebuild my "good bacteria". When I asked how she said yogurt. I told her I didn't like it and she said to suck it up and eat it. (Can you tell she has been my doctor for a while) Anyway I started with the whipped…

OMG! That is exactly where I'm at right now. I had lost 31 lbs, and it was relatively easy. I'm now finding it hard to stay on task with my exercising and even eating right some days. I have asked all my MFP friends for that extra push this week. So if it helps, turn around, ....Thwack! ...There is your kick in the pants.…

There are different kinds of "family". There are those that are genetic, but not necessarily good for you; and there are those that you choose to be your "family", that will be there for you and support you through it all. MFP is family! I know it's tough when your genetic family can't seem to support you, but your MFP…

Thanks, I'm going to try it! I have a HRM, but when it's really hot it's kind of a bugger to wear. If the app is close to the HRM reading, on a hot day I could just use that.

Congrats Patty! You have been doing absolutely wonderful! Don't hurt the knee anymore, but I little jump and shout is well deserved!!
-
Awesome job! You both look amazing and years younger!

I should have said the team thing worked best, because many people said they felt it was ok to let yourself down and paying a $1 here or there was no big deal; but no one want's to be the one to let down a team member.
-
We just finished one. There were 23 of us from work. We put $10 in the pot and we did it as teams this time (our 3rd time). Winners were based on % lost. We weighed in every week and charged .10 per 1/10 lb gain on the scale (ours was digital). We called it paying the pig. We actually had a Piggy Bank that oinked when you…

How you see yourself is the base for any relationship. Shortly after getting married I started putting on weight and didn't quit for a lot of years. While my husband always complimented me through all those years I never felt great about myself and wouldn't thank him or acknowlege the compliment. I too never got a feeling…

When you set up your data, did you include your exercise level? If you did your exercise calories are already figured in the calories they give you. If you then log your exercise you are doubling up your calories. I put down that I wouldn't exercise so when I log my exercise I can then choose to eat those calories or not.…

You look fantastic! Great job. I hit 31 pounds today, now you have me thinking if I have a before picutre; because I always tried to hide when the cameras came out. LOL

I like all the turkey products, but I too have started watching sodium. So if the calories aren't that different and the sodium is lower; I go for the real thing.
-
Welcome! You will find alot of support here. Add me if you wish.

LOL That would be really tough for me. I get on that scale every day (yes I know we aren't suppose to). I think if I told my husband to hide the scale; I might find myself "trying" out scales at the store. Good luck on your weigh in on Wednesday!

Create it as a Recipe under the food tab. Then once it's in there you can add it as a serving any time.
-
What a fantastic ego boost! Congrats

I did learn to cook with my mother, however I have found seriously that cooking healthy is easier and less time consuming than what I had been cooking. My biggest used appliances these days are my toaster oven and the microwave. I often broil a turkey burger or chicken tenderloins. Either one with a low cal sauce. Simply…

Non Scale Victory. It means not everything is about the numbers on the scale.

Patty you have done wonderful! Now when you wear that dress for your son's graduation and you are smiling people will think it's because you are happy for him (and you probably are); but we all know it's because WHOO HOO it's a size smaller!!
-
That's an amazing Non Scale Victory! Enjoy it.
