So very funny! Wishing you much success! There are lots of wonderful supportive people on here.

I always enjoy myself without worrying too much; but alot of times I will load up on exercise calories before going to a family gathering or party. One day here or there will not hurt; it's the daily intake of too many calories that get us.

Welcome! You have come to a wonderful, supportive site. I wish you luck on your journey. Feel free to add me if you wish.

I would definetly call that a NSV! Congrats! Did they tell you how to turn off the "vampire electronics"?

I found wrinkles... prior to loosing weight the fat filled them out. Time to tone!

Congrats! You have done an awesome job!

Congrats you look fantastic! I will never forget the day my Wii stopped saying "That's Obese!" Who would have thought overweight was a good feeling. LOL Keep up the good work!

Hey Dee! I'm in this week. I moved my daughter home from college last week, and find that I've been letting my new healthier eating slide while trying to make her favorites that she hasn't had in a while. My goals this week are to get my eating back on track and to try and do more strength training. 29lbs lost is great;…

We are our own worst critics, but we always love the compliments! What a wonderful sweet thing to say.

Some of my best days now are when the family gets together to visit and catch up. We usually pot luck it. I can't think of anything better than time spent with family.
-
Congrats! Nothing better than finding you fit into a smaller size. You are doing great!

I have a Polar FT4, and find it is very accurate. Are you fairly active while cashiering? Actually as I'm typing, I wonder if in a normal day a person would burn say 1200 calories. Those calories would be accounted for in your set up as to whether you are sedentary or active.

I have the book Eat This Not That, and it recommends the 9oz Sirloin and Seasonal Veggies. I checked the charts and the calories on the 9 oz are 310 with 970 mg of sodium. I suggest dropping down to the 7 oz which is still plenty of protein the calories are 250 and the sodium is 860 mg. The seasonal veggies list as 35-50…

Are you tracking the calories from the beer in your daily intake? What day is your weigh in day, right after a night out? I do know if I go out and have a couple of Bloody Mary's; I can count on an easy 2lb gain. It usually goes away 2-3 days later. Also Alcohol dehydrates, so you may need to increase your water after or…

If anyone knows who went home, I would love to know. Having some severe weather here tonight, so the last 15 minutes of the show were interrupted with weather updates. A good thing, but still want to know how the show came out.

I'm 5'10", and was 227 lbs when I started. However my weight was mostly in my butt and thighs. I did have back fat but it disappeared along with my boobs just recently when I hit 25 lbs lost. There are strength training excercises that will help tone those muscles.

You look super fantastic! Congrats on doing such a great job.

I'm a chocoholic too. I have tried losing weight in the past by cutting it out totally; and it doesn't work. You always have that day where it gets totally out of control. This time I make room for it in my diet. A little bit each day if I wish. Those mini's work great for that. However I have mostly switched to dark…

Will have some, and I will log it. I'm more worried about Easter dinner Ham, Cheesey Potatoes, probably green bean casserole, and Cole Slaw. I have been watching my sodium as much as my calories, and tomorrow's dinner is a salt killer.

Easter dinner with my husband's family. Trying to plan what and how much I can eat. Also loading up on excersize calories today to help cover the excess.
-
I know it seems like a daunting task, but I found logging the food was so much easier that I thought. You will be amazed at what you can eat. I still eat pizza now and then; just not once or twice a week like I used to. Try thin crust it makes a big difference in the calories. Sometimes just knowing what I want to eat…

When I first started I made sure I did. Now I make sure I eat at least my base calories and then my own rule of thumb is to try and eat at least half of my work out calories. I consistantly lost two pounds a week when I started; lately I have had days without excercising at all but also not eating my excercise calories. I…

Make sure your heart rate monitor is working. Because your rate has been up before it sounds more like equipment not working. That said there are some people that can not elevate there heart rate easily. I have a friend that can't get her heart rate up also. Even in a hospital where they were doing the stress test, they…

I'm in again this week! I'm bumping my excercise minutes up to 200. Shouldn't be a problem, I'm starting a Zumba class this week. But my real goal is to manage my diet better. I've been under my calories most days, but I want to balance the calories, carbs, protein, fats, and sodium so no "red" zones show up. Not sure I…

Hi just saw your post, was looking at Zumba for Wii and wondered if it was any good. Do you like it?

what did you go into to change numbers?

I too am tall and will never be a single digit size. At 5' 10" 227 when I started my weight loss journey; 220 when I found MFP, I have a first goal of 175. I may never try for anything less, I will make that decision when I get there. At my thinnest I was 130 lbs and everyone thought I was sick. It's not the number its how…
