I have eggs for breakfast almost every morning. Usually, I add spinach, onions, and pepper jack cheese.

Nothing works unless you do. I have the zip, and it is on a clip. I don't really care about tracking sleep or stairs climbed or things like that. I just wanted to see how active I really am during the day with my job.

I'm a woman and float like a friggin rock.

Interesting about the vitamin C because I use citrus shampoo to equalize the chlorine.

I do not juice, but I do make fruit smoothies as a snack sometimes--Greek yogurt with V-8 fusions juice and frozen fruit with spinach. I find it's a nice way to get in vitamins, and it makes a healthy treat. My son will often ask for a smoothie for dessert. I almost feel guilty when I'm putting raw spinach into his…

I have a flex because I'm too cheap to buy something better, but it works for what I wanted, so it's great for me. I have taken 3,372,432 steps since September 7th of last year.
-
Me too! I have gotten a lot more steps because of friendly competition between some other people and me. Although I don't know most of the people on my Fitbit list, I'm still just competitive enough to want to at least match their steps.

 As did I

Likewise. I have a friend who does this and another one who is selling "detox" wraps. This seems pyramid-y to me.

Getting the peanut butter off your scale though is tricky. Unless you don't mind somebody seeing you licking the scale. [/quote] You caught me :blushing:

I had 2 eggs scrambled with fresh sausage and spinach. I also had a buttered mini cinnamon raisin bagel with a cup of coffee that had Dark Chocolate Sensations hot chocolate mix in it. Very shortly after that, I drank a smoothie made with Peach Mango V-8 fusions, spinach, peaches, strawberries, and vanilla Greek yogurt. I…

Now that's a cool idea!! I would have really enjoyed a site like this. Now, my sewing machine is my best friend as I keep taking inches off my skirts!
-
Thanks for the site info. This agrees with what MFP tells me. Sadly, I used to burn 100 cal/mile, so it was easier to calculate. Now that I'm 20 pounds lighter, I burn about 94 calories per mile. So now I have to run farther to get the same calorie burn. *sigh*
-
It is just an estimate. My friend asked me if I wanted to go with the higher calories so that I could justify eating more or if I wanted to go with the lower calories so that I didn't eat more than I burned. Therein lies the question. Of course, I'm always telling her that burning 200 calories in exercise does not mean she…

That's wonderful! I remember when I was excited that I got down to a single-digit size. It was so exciting. (I'm not very tall, so double digits were large sizes for my frame.) Congratulations!

Stop?? But...but...why? The last 1/2 marathon I ran had beer at one of the water stops. It was also in the heart of Bourbon country.

I used to have my fitbit linked to MFP. I noticed, however, that the calorie adjustment fluctuated quite a bit. So, I changed my activity level on here to "active," and I unlinked my fitbit. Now, I just compare the two. I'm glad I changed the activity level because, at the end of the day, fitbit says I'm far more active…

Find something that you're truly going to enjoy doing. I get up MWF at 4:55 to swim. My alarm goes off, and I'm actually looking forward to (usually) swimming. I want to go. If I know I need to get up to run, I won't do it. I make a lot of excuses, but I just won't. Also, having someone to whom you're accountable makes a…

#1 and #2 reasons for drinking coffee
-
I don't think it's the coffee that's the problem. I think it's what people put in the coffee that causes lack of weight loss. As long as you're logging what you've put in and accounting for those calories, coffee in moderation is WONDERFUL. Besides, I find that I seem to have more friends when I drink coffee in the morning.
-
Yup! Make it stop!

I agree. Glad the keys were found, and an honest person found them. Good for you!

I'm in Owensboro. My dad lives in Louisville. My profile picture was taken in Bardstown. :flowerforyou:

I come from a chunky family. My mother is 5'0" tall and weighs about 180lbs. I am 5'5" tall and weigh 125. My dad's family are not heavy people, but they are all active people. The heaviest is the youngest who eats more than she moves.

I hit maintenance and then lost another 10 pounds. The trouble I'm having is that, with exercise, I often should eat about 2500 calories/day. I don't always do this. I seem to have settled in at my current weight, but I found that I had to add calorie dense foods to my diet. I now put avocado on just about any sandwich…

I swim 3 mornings a week. I have excellent muscle definition because my BF% is fairly low. I'm not super strong, though.

so very, very true!

Thank you. This is why I wanted a guy's point of view. I don't want anyone who is reading the article to think I'm making fun of him because that was not the intent.
-
Yes. I actually did ask him. But, it's not a problem in the relationship. I was curious if it would be perceived as a jab. That's all. Note that, the first time he ran with me, he noted that I would be outrunning him, and I didn't believe it. I agree with all the people who said that they compete with themselves. That's…

I was going to ask: Bean burrito?
