If fast food is the only choice when I'm out, we go to Wendy's, I order two side salads, ask for a larger plate, dump the salads on the plate first, and pour a large chili, equal to 1 cup, over it and make what I call a taco salad. I know the sodium is higher than I would like, but It has to be better than fries and a…

A pair of tight jeans would be a great way to measure your progress!!! Just try them on once a week and see how loose they get. The scale isn't always a great friend for those of us that are building muscle. When you replace fat with muscle, you will end up with a firmer body, but that means a slower weight loss. Those…

Don't let the scale be the focus of your success! Get a tight pair of jeans and a tight cotton shirt, try them on every two weeks and track your progress that way! The scale will mess with your head!

BMI cannot factor in how much muscle you have, so you can weigh more than you look cause of the terrific muscle you have created. Choose a size and stick with that. A heavy man at 250 pounds and a body builder at 250 pounds look completely different, but the BMI will show the same number for both..

MFP does not factor in your exercise when you fill out your profile. This site adds it as you report your exercise each day. The other sites your going to gives you numbers including your exercise.

I was told once that unless a Doctor chooses the field of practicing weightloss, regular studies for Doctors on weightloss adds up to very little, meaning they just follow the same old rules of thumb of eating less to lose weight. They haven't begun to explore the new theories, of fueling ours bodies to lose weight.

This, I get frustrated too when it takes forever to see the scale move, but in the long run, eating the required calories my body needs while losing slowly also will help my skin tighten as I lose. I want a nice firm look when I'm done so I look as good as I can in a bathing suit, not just looking good when my clothes are…

I know it's hard to believe, but you must eat more to lose weight. We need fuel to burn fat, and you're lacking the fuel to do so. At this point your body is in starvation mode.

My sister-in-law was asked that question at a family reunion by someone she had not see for years. It went like this, " Man you got fat, how much do you weigh now?, and she said, Yeah, well I can lose weight ,but you'll always be ugly! " I love her so much!!!

I really think you need to eat more. I know it sounds crazy and it's scary, but tons of women on this site have gotten to their goal size by eating more and lifting weights. The reason I say goal size is, they have built muscle, not the bulky kind, and weigh more than they look. But they're okay with that cause the more…

I never learned half as much about how to eat healthy at weight watchers as I have here. When I did WW I lost, but the importance of strength training to build muscle was never brought up. I see changes in my body following MFP that wasn't happeing on WW. And I have to say the info I have learned from the the MFP members…

You're starving your body with such low calorie intake. You have to fuel the fire to keep it burning. Eat more and lose weight. There are alot of blogs on the site to support this. There are a ton of women on here, me included, eating 1800 to 2200 calories a day and losing weight and inches. We eat and we burn fat.

I started seeing results after 7 weeks. But for the first 4 weeks, I was not eating enough, which was a mistake. I started eating higher calories plus my calories burn in my 5th week. Now in my 7th week I can see a flatter tummy and abs!!!! You have to feed those muscles!!!!

You look awesome!!!!!

This is so right. I've got a lot of muscle which BMI doesn't take into consideration at all. Therefore I've been told I was overweight all my life, even when I wasn't!!!

I think you're eating too much fast food. It is full of salt and fat. As hard as it is to take the time to prepare meals, you really need to cook some lean proteins and add healthy carbs, veggies and fruits to your diet. Eating out will mess you up everytime! Good luck!!!
