Hi, Im Haylie, I'm 27 and I live in Cambridgeshire, England. I've been running on/off for years, but go really serious about 3 months ago. I'm traing for a half marathon in October, but really working on speed rather than distance, as I run an average of 30 miles a week, and I run 12 miles already. I've always been a slow…

I'm in!!! We'll see if I can do a 100 miles :)

Polish living in Britain :)

Can someone explain this to me please, cause it's getting me confused. The calories you burn come from different sources (depending on intensity), like fat, glycogen etc. So, at moderate intensity you'll burn 60-75% fat. The big question: Why would you want to eat back the calories you burned from fat? What is the…

Same ;) Also black eyed peas "pump it"

If you can't spell you are dumb too? Lose, not loose, healthy heart, not health heart, you're, not your, wasting, not waisting. Maybe you should educate yourself before educating others.
-
Do you even realise how offensive you sound? I run. Does that mean I'm a cardio junkie, skinny fat, and I'm wasting my life?
-
83.75% of time you were in fat burning zone, burning 85% of cals from fat. Soooo 199 x 83.75% x 85% = 142 cals from fat. :flowerforyou:

1000 cals seems like a lot - I burn 650 cycling 20 miles? But I'm 5'1" and 130lbs. But yeah, you can eat those cals back. I eat at least 75% and its working for me.

You sure you've lost weight? I can't tell...  :explode:

A very large live cockroach in my sandwich. Ate half of the sandwich, was about to take another bite, looked down, and there it was, trying to get out. Luckily I made it into the bathroom before I threw up.

Hahaha you nailed it! Love it :drinker:

How long have you been login? You said you've been eating healthy for a month, but randomly looked at 1 st July and its blank, few days before too. Log everything, every day and you'll see results.

Breastfeeding my 7 mo, no plans to stop for awhile if I can. Has anyone found that babies (like 7mo) want to wean themselves off milk? My little girl doesn't really want it anymore, will have only 2 feedings a day (she's on 3 solid meals a day), one of which is a dream feed as that's the only way I can get her to drink…

It only works because you're creating calorie deficit. There is only so much fat you can eat before you feel sick, if there are no carbs involved. Butter with no toast? Oil with no potatoes? Cream with no pie? I did Atkins few years back for 2 weeks and I was miserable. Had fried breakfast every morning, but all I really…

Milk supply is established around 3 months after delivery, so I'd wait until then before you start having big calorie deficit. It's fine to exercise, but make sure you're eating those calories back. Recommendations are to eat at least 1800 cals a day plus exercise. I started exercising when my baby was 6 mo, and still…

Rule of thumb is about 100 cals per mile, so it's far off? I'd probably stay safe and eat half or so.
-
Yum, will try that tonight

Weight loss is all about calories in and calories out. You'll lose weight even if you eat just carbs, as long as you're in a calorie deficit. But good luck anyway. :flowerforyou:

30% Protein and fat are minimum intakes, so it's good if you go over. Try nuts, or grilled chicken salad etc.

Same here lol

5'1 and 135lbs, want to get to 110lbs but I'll see how I feel at 115-120. I'm doing insanity and training for a half marathon, hopefully tha will help me get there!

Lol these are funny

It is. I've just got this blockage in my mind telling me that at my hight (5'1") there is no way I can eat 2500 cals and still lose weight, no matter how much I exercise. Need to work on that. I'm thinking of getting a hrm, it might be a good investment. @contingency plan, apologies for calling you an idiot, but you did…

http://pediatrics.about.com/od/breastfeeding/a/more_myths.htm Unless calorie level is critically low, I will not affect milk supply. And I'm going to call an idiot anyone who calls me selfish based on my calorie Bit more info... I've only started 2 weeks ago. My half-marathon training starts today, although I've been…

Thank you x1000!!! And there is no link between nutritional content of milk not milk production. If there was, non of the mothers in third world countries would be able to breastfeed. Now sod off.
