I'm in a similar situation. Not the same numbers but the same story. I actually came here looking for more people with the same story. Sending a friend request.

I am starting fresh as well. On my first round I lost over 100 pounds. I gained back about 35. I'm on day 3 of round 2 now.

I don't think of pizza as unhealthy. Obviously it's not for every day because it's high in calories. But it's far better than most fast food out there.

It takes lots of trial and error to get it right. If you open up your diary, we can take a peek and see if it makes sense.

While I allow myself fried (frozen, baked) once in a while, if you're looking for something salty and crunchy, try roasted chic peas. Just drain a can of chic peas, salt and spice them and bake them.

That was one of my key decisions when I started. Not eating anything i don't like and not giving up anything I do (well, except for cake).

Working with a 2 year window is pretty open ended. I would suggest shifting your focus on day by day logging and eating at a deficit. Maybe a goal of a good week also makes sense. But more than that and it's easy to get discouraged and give up. About family members sabotaging your diet, try being more flexible about you…

I haven't reached onederland yet but I'm close. I started at 310. Feel free to add me or send any questions. Your first step of tracking is definitely the way to go. Don't make too many changes at once. Also, what worked for me, was setting small goals. I started with a goal to lose 35 pounds. As I lost I updated my goals.

Similar numbers here but no deadline. Just working toward that magical number.

Where are you taking the info on the second one? The first one looks more accurate based on general information available online.

As most have said, losing weight is more about the intake than the burn. That being said, working out is extremely important as well. A couple of issues you can look into is hydration and not cooling down. Dehydration is definitely a cause for feeling light headed when working out. If you primarily feel light headed after…

He might be a good trainer but don't take his advice on nutrition.

If he needs to hear it (which, at 9 years old, I'm not sure about), it need to be from someone that loves him and cares about him. If this kid leaves his homework at home, will this santa drive it to school for him? If he's up at night with a cold, will this Santa bring him a warm drink? I don't think so. In that case,…

Was the yogurt plain or flavored? Flavored yogurt has quite a bit of sugar. I find that sugary snacks make me crave more sugar and therefore fool me into thinking I'm hungry. I switched to plain yogurt with some granola. If I don't have any granola around, I mix in a bit of honey.

I struggled with the same issue after losing 110 pounds. I tried following MFP's number but couldn't shake the remaining 5 - 10 pounds. It's been close to two years since I lost my weight and I still didn't get those last few. Admittedly, I haven't been very rigid lately. I just started another push to dropping those pesky…

Before you do anything to gain back weight, keep in mind that many people (including myself) gain back a few pounds after losing lots of weight. In my case it was two years later. I'm still down nearly 100 pounds so I'm still very happy with my weight. But you should probably consider this before you do anything to gain…

I lost 100 but gained back about 10. I'm looking to lose those 10 plus another 20 to get to my goal. Today is day 1 of my recommittment. Feel free to send friend requests.

I don't know your co-workers so I can't really comment if they're jealous. But it's very possible that they meant well (albeit, not very tactful about it). I'm commenting based on my experience losing lots of weigh. When certain people, who only see you a couple of days a week, see the huge change in your appearance, it's…

I was completely disgusted by this. I used to not be a big fan of weight loss surgery in general. Since I've lost weight (no, I didn't have surgery) and realizing the benefits involved in weight loss, I changed my mind. I now take the "whatever it takes" approach. But this is just too much. Weight loss surgery at least…

I've been doing the up and down my whole life. This changed when I joined MFP. I'm not saying MFP is what changed it. Rather, it was my mindset. Tracking calories is not the goal. It's just a way of measuring while you figure out how to eat better. I find it to be a lot of rethinking my relationship with food. Here are…

I think most people gain back a bit when switching to maintenance. I gained back about 5% of my loss. I think I switched to maintenance a bit too early. I'm not back to loss mode so I can finally reach my second goal. This time around I plan on going 5 pounds past my goal before switching to maintenance.

Try running! Best stress relief available. And it's free!

Respect, man!

I'm maintaining for nearly two years now and I still think of myself as a fat guy. I'm still pleasantly surprised when I see myself in pictures. But it really makes a difference on how the last few days went. If I'm being good with my intake and workouts, I feel skinny. Otherwise, I feel fat.

If you don't weigh all your solid food (as opposed to liquid), I can almost guarantee you that your eating significantly more than you think. Also, if you're eating back your exercise calories, keep in mind that MFP is very generous with the amount of calories it gives you for exercise. I wouldn't eat back more than half.…
-
Every solid has to be weighed. I've come across many products where the listed serving was x pieces but when I weighed it I found I was eating nearly two servings. All serving sizes will be in weight as well. That's more accurate. I was able to prove to many people that by not weighing solid foods they were eating nearly…

As others have said, it's up to you and how you feel. Personally I can run at any time of the day. People don't understand how I can go out for a 10 mile run at 11PM. But put a little more than a yogurt into me and my run turns horrible. As far as trusting yourself, unless you're training to win races, which it sounds like…

I don't think that's true. She didn't identify herself or him and she didn't post to shame him or anything. She's looking for a solution.
