Let Ketosis do the work. Supplementing isn't required but if you do go with potassium, magnesium & sodium. Bone broth is a great way to get what you need :)

Congrats!!! Stick with it, weight loss may start to slow in a couple of weeks but don't give up! You just got to keep on going & re-awake your metabolism ( there are many ways to do that on LCHF). Again great job! :drinker:

I count the bacon as it says but always save the grease & cook other foods in it too ;d

Instead of using chickpeas in the hummus I use zucchini or eggplant, comes out great & is a lot lower in carbs :)

It's likely that there is no "breaking point", it varies for everyone & how active they & their metabolism are. I've been told to focus on your percentage more than the actual grams. As long as your not way over everyday you should be fine. Keep the fat high!

It happens because we are so satiated with fat. I say don't force yourself to eat, maybe some bone broth for sodium & minerals.

Kira is like a little encyclopedia, full of information. I want a pocket kira, lol.

I personally don't trust a lot the information on livestrong site. As chani said naturally raised/no antibiotics is best when it comes to meat but sometimes your budget or resources don't allow. I don't believe it's the red meat you should avoid, if anything it's dairy, that's what caused increased acne & small rashes for…

Maybe this person could help? http://blogs.oregonstate.edu/modifiedketogenicdietforepilepsy/ or this? http://ketocuisine.com/ I'm keto for weight loss & other health benefits so i have no experience with keto for epilepsy. Do a lot of online research & always get a second medical opinion. Hope you get the help you need.

Hm... I think 10lbs loss is a good time to change them. Some people recommend monthly.

I'm half way through my first whole30 & hanging on by a thread lol. I'll weighed myself at the beginning, half & then will at the end. I log all my food still & try to meet my macros. I know that's not the rules but I want to maintain my sanity as well as my weight loss. I also want to make sure I get enough fat in, since…

I was put on a low-sodium diet by doctors too, for my pulmonary hypertension. I've been taking diuretics my whole life due to heart/lung conditions. Before keto I would get really bloated & could barely breath when I ate too much salt (carbs weren't helping either). Now that I started keto & see how my body handles I am…

^what kira said pretty much. There is also coconut oil, ghee, lard/tallow, olive oil, sesame oil ( use these last two raw & in smaller amounts) to make homemade dressings. Add extra fat to every protein you eat.
