A recipe I really enjoy is Verde Chicken. I throw a jar of Verde Salsa & seasoned Boneless/skinless chicken thighs in a crockpot until very tender. You could also make it on the stove. I top mine with cheese & hot sauce.

I agree with Dragonwolf. If you want to get calcium exclusively, finely ground eggshells into powder is an option. Just add them to meals. I would not debunk paleo that quickly.

I'm not going cold turkey, I'm weening off 50mg at a time for two weeks at a time depending on how I feel. Thanks for all your input though. I hope it goes smoothly.

Sounds good! I'm going to try titrate myself off my anti-depressants. I've taken them for years & I feel I no longer need them. Last month I gave of artificial sweeteners :) Hope you figure out whats the cause of your hip problems.

I know it's hard but just be honest. Tell her how much you appreciate her making you a meal but your disease is very painful/dangerous, educate her a little about what is & isn't safe for you. Then maybe make a delicious gluten-free meal for her sometime?

No. I did not do the Whole30 as "quick weight loss". I did it as a challenge & to see what life would be like going strict Paleo. I don't know why I binged. I have issues with food sometimes.
