  • It didn't work for me, but I just couldn't get myself to feel like the shakes were a meal (with the exception of breakfast), so I just ended up feeling hungry all the time.
  • I've been doing the same challenge. It's been tough! I've never been very good with push-ups, though.
  • It gets better. There will still be moments, but they become more and more seldom as you lose.
  • Thanks again, everyone! I really appreciate all the kudos and support. I haven't posted here a lot, but I've read regularly, and these boards help SO much. And anyone who would like to be MFP friends, feel free to add me! I could use a few more! :) I'm 5'11" and I picked 176 because it's 100 pounds even under my start…
  • Haha, you know, I haven't even tried! I'll have to do that.
  • Oh man, I don't think it's possible to pick just one. I definitely have to second the amusement park rides and the clothes. And being from a city where everyone goes to the beach ALL the time, not being able to go with them and feel comfortable.
  • Haha, this. I love mac 'n cheese way too much to skip it every time.
  • Just finished week 9 on Tuesday and started the Bridge to 10k program! I honestly can't believe I can run for as long as I can... I couldn't run for a minute straight when I started without being winded!
  • Yes! I do it almost every week, haha. I generally allow myself a cheat meal once a week, and while I don't usually go over by much, there have been a couple instances of going way over (we're talking 1,000+), and still losing weight that week. You just have to get right back on the horse and pretend it never happened. If…
  • Skydiving. I've always wanted to do it, and I'm down to being less than ten pounds over the limit. It's so close and I'm SO excited.
  • I'm on week 7, even though I've been at it for a few weeks longer than that. I let myself drag out a couple weeks since I was struggling with them at the time. When I started, sad to say, I was winded after just a minute of running. Now I'm doing 25 minutes straight several times a week at a pretty reasonable pace. I'm…
  • The face really does tend to be the first place that weight loss is noticeable. I can't even begin to count the number of times people have come up to me in the last month or so and told me that they could tell I was losing weight just from my face.
  • I've dropped 33 pounds in the last couple months coming from a starting weight of 276, so it's definitely doable. It just depends on your personal circumstances.
  • Not dumb at all! I couldn't even begin to wrap my head around what a gram of something looked like, so I usually tried finding a second entry for foods that had an easier measurement, haha.
  • Even before starting the calorie counting and exercising, I'd tried to stop drinking soda cold-turkey several times and I never made it more than a few days. I only drink diet soda, and frankly, it's mostly for the caffeine. The headaches I get without it are a special level of miserable. I like Dr. Oz's suggestion of…
