Heck yeah brother! Thanks for sharing your story; a little inspiration was just was I needed :) KEEP IT UP!

I ran the Tough Mudder in May. I bought two pairs of gloves and accidentally left them both in the car. I was freaking out about them but I finished Tough Mudder, and most people I saw with them on had discarded them by the end. Personally I think they're a waste of your time. Your grip is either going to be strong to…

Progress is progress :) The changes happen so incrimentally they can be hard for us to notice. You're doing great; keep at it!

AMAZING WORK!! YOU EARNED IT!!

IN RESPONSE TO THIS: [/quote]That's only true if you consider your exercise as part of your daily activity. I base my daily activity level on what I do in a day besides exercising so that's why I add those calories back when I do workout. Especially because TDEE is an estimate, from a website. At least when I add in my…

OK...as someone who didn't understand this for a long time: Your TDEE has ALREADY taken into account the exercise level you gave it. So, if you are exercising as much as you say you are, DO NOT EAT YOUR CALORIES BACK. People who are looking at net cals are just plain incorrect and most of them aren't losing weight. If you…

I buy Psyllium husk from Trader Joe's. 1 Tablespoon has 4.5 grams of fiber! It mixes pretty easily with water/juice. I'll usually put 2 tablespoons in my smoothie. Fiber=good.

I weigh everything. Every time.

4-5 oz. carrots 1 med apple 1 banana your choice spinach, kale, or broccoli (aprox. 1 bunch) 4 oz. yogurt (i love greek yogurt, but any lowfat yogurt is just ducky) 2 tbsp peanut butter (optional, but great for some extra calories, protein, and nummy fats) 1 1/2 cups filtered water 1-2 tbsp psyllium husk (optional, but…

Yyyyyyyyeah I'm just going to go ahead and come out with it: The fact that an adult (I use the term loosely) started this thread is just....sad. Tragic really. My heart tells me to feel sympathy for someone who's self-esteem is so tied to their image that they need something like this to be ok (and by ok I mean vastly…

...I can't really put a finer point on it. Well said. I'm afraid I'm not going to be able to take the high road on this one :)

Can't go wrong with drained tuna, brown rice, and just about anything.....I eat it straight out of the can too. But my fave is too add in a mix of dijon and jalepeno mustard (no mayo so lo cal) and throw in a little quinoa or brown rice/barley.

Honestly, it's going to take some time. I have the same frustration. Experiment with daily calorie levels and try mixing in some cardio 2 or 3 times a week. It takes a WHILE to drop weight without shredding your muscle tissue too...but you'll be leaner and healthier in the long run. I'd expect to see results in 6 to 8…

If you aren't sore the next day (or even two days) you may not be challenging yourself enough and taking advantage of your body's potential to repair that broken down tissue. Don't go nuts but I'd slowly increase your weights and see how you feel.

Double thumbs up. While you cannot loose fat and gain muscle at the same time (bummer...I know), you can and should absolutely up your protein while staying within your calorie limit. Keep as much as you can...also, I second Iam_thatdude....CUTCUTCUT and then pile that sexy lean goodness on baby!

You've got the right idea. Try upping your cals (but do it slowly) and switch up your excersize routing. That worked for me after my first plateau.

I. EFFING. LOVE THIS.

Are you dead set on on pre-mixed shakes? I've found a couple of bulk powders that are SUPER high in protein, low in carbs/fat, and very filling. You just have to mix them with whatever you want. Met-Rx makes a great one. I buy it at Trader Joe's and it comes out to less than a dollar per serving. Hope that helps! Let me…

All of that definitely makes sense. While that's SO frustrating, I'm happy to hear that I'm on the right track. I hope this is just a matter of continuing further down the road I'm on. THANKS TO BOTH OF YOU!
