  • I have been complacent with posting lately due to life but have committed to being more active here with my fellow sisters in Christ. We have the same goals: Live for Christ, become healthy, and support and encourage fellow believers.
  • Hello, nice to meet you. I have belonged here for a while myself and just got off track with posting and replying. I plan to do better this year by being more involved. God Bless
  • I am 3 1/2 years out. I lost 110 in the first year, maintained that but didn't lose any more for a year then in 2015/2016 gained 37 lbs (I found out later from stress) I've lost 20 of that 37 and am in the gym twice a day for 45 min to an hour /hour 1/2. I'm not losing pounds any more and am monitoring my intake but I feel…
  • I have had my fitbit charge hr since March. I just found this group my profile is Shonrecio. I look forward to activities with you all https://www.fitbit.com/user/3BFH97
  • My cycle changed it came on the day I left the hospital( it was early) and it was lighter than normal. After that they started coming between 14-21 days. They have mellowed out and are around 21 days now.
  • I love the gym but am avoiding it for other reasons, This time of year (cold and dark) is hard for me to go since I have to go at 4:30 a.m. before work(I work an hour away from home), I do not go in the evenings because thats when the younger crowd gets there. I love walking nature trails and walking aroung my small town…
  • As you stated in your post this journey is continual and life long. In 2014 I made good decisions and bad ones. I fell back into some old habits and declare that this year I will make better choices and not let those habits consume me. My plans for 2015 is to continue to get stronger mentally, continue to work out to…
  • I agree with all the others here even at 16 months out my Dr told me to stay around 800-1000 cals, but with exercise I can do 1200-1300 to keep my body from having a deficit. So you will have a different need for your body and yes the further along in your progress your appetite and need will change. Just try to make good…
  • I get amazed every time I look into the mirror and can see the top of my thigh, before all I saw was stomach. I also like looking down and can see my hips. They are curvy and my side stomach is no longer there. I also love that I can feel/see my collar bones.
  • Great NSV everyone. My latest is I was told by my husbands bro that I look good. I was told by an old boss/friend at the store the othet day, that I look hot and I can jump rope for several minutes without huffing and puffing.
  • It all gets better and it is so worth it. keep your head up out are doing great.
  • Not for tobacco, cause I wasn't a smoker or dipper, but some old eatng habits. I spend a lot of time on the computer, at work and home, at night when I'm reading or doing homework I get food cravings. I have to reprogram my mind to not snack while doing homework, reading or watching TV. This was my habit before surgery and…
  • Congrats. That's a great NSV. Before you know it you will be completely off. Happy for you
  • Beautiful
  • This is so true. I only had to do a few days liquid diet before surgery too. Our go to sayings in my house are " You'll be alright" and "Walk it off". When I hear this from my husband or kids I know to stop whining and Suck it Up
  • " We all have our demons to fight with, but I am going to win. Everyone here has won. This is not a sprint, this is a marathon. It's a lifetime change and commitment. I'm not telling you anything you don't already know, but you have to find little things that make you smile. A hug, a pair of pants, an old photo. Anything…
  • I use Hip Hop Abs, I like it. I also use Turbo Jam. I like it too. I am looking into getting Zumba but not until I research it more to see if its something I should be doing.
  • Wow, you look amazing. I can really see the difference. I can relate to the stomach area being the problem. That is my biggest problem too. That and my flags(under arms). Most of my stomach area has shrank by walking and do Hip Hop Abs and Turbo Jam. Still have a lot to go but working on it. You look awesome so keep up the…
  • First know that you all are beautiful from the inside out and I can relate to how you are feeling. Some days I look in the mirror and see the 345lb me and I say I've got to lose this weight. I know that I am 108 lbs smaller but in my mind I still see the heavier person. People keep telling me how great I look and that I…
  • WOW you look GRE and awesome progress
  • My latest NSV, my size 18 jeans are getting loose, I can run a whole lap at the walking track ( 1/4 mile) without stopping. I can walk 10 laps at the track in 30 minutes, and I got checked out by a guy on the elevator at work the both day and by an old old friend in Walmart. The biggest NSV IS my husband grabbed me to but…
  • I've lost a 2 month horse plus a human head.
  • I've been out of the loop lately, sorry I missed this. I know you did well. Congrats
  • Weekends can be tough, when you have a Monday Friday schedule. I know I find myself having the munchies on Saturdays because I'm in the house all day, but the pulse side of this is I've tried to establish a Saturday routine. I get up at 6:00 walk around the city(small town USA here) for about an hour it until I get tired,…
  • Thanks for this. I can relate to the feelings you get when going through a storm. I am in a storm right now with my husband being gone for a year(no not military or work related, its law related), my son is in the navy and is in CA, and my 17 year old is academically engaged, so I'm home alone a lot. I'm 15 months out from…
  • Awesome victory. There's nothing like being able to shop In your own closet. I have a little black and gold dress I can't wait to wear again.

  • I love the fact that we can talk about our weight and sizes and not have to be embarrassed. Although I know I'm smaller I still see myself as bigger. I get surprised when I try on something and it fits. Ive always had large breast (ddd cup) and the curvy hips and butt, so my sizes vary depending on brand. I started as as…
  • Got tickled reading this. It brought back memories. I avoided jeans and shoes with shoe strings for years, so I understand.
