Walking, Swimming, recumbent bike, lifting..... find low impact exercises.... usually it's the impact that is giving you the pain. I started with yoga, a exercise bike and walking. I worked my way up to running, elliptical, high impact workouts.

Typically I would say leave it alone buttttttttttt I had a friend on here that pointed out my calorie burns were highly inflated and gave me advice on how to get a more accurate idea of what I was burning. I'm glad she did.

I'm just trying to wrap my mind around you willingly paying $394, a month, for a weight loss supplement, on top of $880. You've been a member here since 2012, don't you know by now you don't need the gimmicks?

It most likely will come back as fast as it went.
-
I love this! I had no idea you could do that! Thank you!

I vote get a digital scale. Even if you choose to weigh only once a month, you can at least see where you are and as you work, how far you've come, weight wise. I use a lot of methods of record though, not just the scale. I measure, take pictures, focus on the fit of my clothes. They all play a factor.

Eat closer to maintenance and lift heavy. Weight sounds fine. Lift weights if you want to firm up.

May not have synced calorie burn and just heart rate..... I would still go with your HRM for the calorie burn

Your HRM

I recommend add lifting to your exercise and not focusing so much on the number on the scale but more how your clothes fit and how you feel. At your height, the weight you are at is a good number. Take your measurement instead of obsessing over the scale.

LOL I. LOVE. THIS.

I have a Ozeri digital kitchen scale I got from amazon for about $15... Cheap but works great.

Wow, putting you on the spot! I've been asked many times, but, not in front of a ton of people and it's always asked by people that I'm close to. Although I'm not shy about my weight, at least not anymore. I'm proud of what I weigh now and you should be to. We've worked hard to get there. Also remember they ask because of…

This is a good way to estimate it. I use a bodymedia armband and learned I burn 2/3 to 1/2 of what a machine or MFP gives me. Except for walking. I find I burn a little more when i walk then what MFP gives.

I leave mine open for friends because then I feel more accountable for what I eat :)

I weigh every day but only record once a week, typically on friday.

Yup! Someone posted this in another thread https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JVjWPclrWVY

I had the double chin thing going on and yup it went away. Because I carry most of my fat in my mid section, it was actually one of the first things to go. Just remember first on last off.

The link has Bluetooth so you can link it to your smartphone and the core you buy a display and/or have to hook it up to your computer via USB to get your stats. Both need a subscription that is 6.95 a month after your free trial period of 3 months.

It has taken me since the end of July to lose 74 pounds but my loss has slowed significantly in the past month or so.
-
Yup I have days like this... I make myself do it anyway. Free days of eating whatever I want is what got me here in the first place ;)

Being able to do things I couldn't do before! Run longer, lift heavier, ect....

Ok yeah muscle is more dense then fat therefore a square inch of muscle weighs more then a square inch of fat. Does that sound better?
-
When someone say muscle weighs more then fat they don't mean 1 lb vs 1 lb. obviously they both weigh 1 lb. they mean mass vs mass. A square inch of muscle is going to weigh more then a square inch of fat.

Almost 80 pounds, 74 lbs using MFP. I started in July 2013. Have a little more to go but almost there!
-
I have the Bodymedia link and I love it! One of the best investments I've made next to a food scale! LOL I've been thinking about getting something different for summer time but there just isn't anything as accurate out there.

Start slow. Walk w/ short runs and just try to up your run length until you get to where you want to be. I've lost quite a bit of weight and never stepped into a gym. Like it was already said, to lose weight you just have to eat at a deficit.

Beat me to it LOL

Yes!
