the response and help on this forum is superb - thanks Ive confirmed Peroneal Tendonitis but its not the end of the world. The cycling doesnt bother it and I am going to keep it slow to begin with. Ill also be making a visit to the Podiatrist as recommended!

Guys Thanks for all the input - much appreciated I am seeing a physiotherapist today; someone who specialises in running and football injuries. Theyre telling me it sounds like Peroneal tendonitis and that it wont be too bad. Answering some of the feedback. Yes runners do get hurt and no I am not afraid or averse to hard…

Im icing at every available min and using Arnica gel for the inflammation - its not as bad this time around which means I can hopefully get biking again soon. Interesting to note what you say about the shoes but they have felt great from the moment I have got them. I think I have just went too hard too soon again. I think…

Thanks for the input.... Last year I started taking the lacing out of the middle of the show so that they don't come across the foot because of high arch. The shoes (New Balance Fresh Foam 1080) were custom fit so all good that end. Yes running twice a week or shorter pace could be the way to go

And tight calves? Any thoughts on that? I am going to do deep stretches in these departments before I start my routine. Also thinking of adding some protein shakes into the mix

I have not smoked a cigarette in over a year (approx 1 year and 3 months) Here are my thoughts: 1) Expect to fail the first few times - its perfectly ok. You will then discover what works and obviously what doesnt. 2) Dont tell your friends or family - yep it sounds like the wrong thing to do but trust me its better. You…

I feel for you Nicks because I am in the same boat. It so ANNOYING not to be able to work out BUT you must let your ankle heal and imagine how strong you will be again. When my ankle/foot is better I am going to do some biking and wobble board exercises to get me back to full speed again. Hope you recover soon x

Thank you Grace :) Yes I went from being sedentary and perhaps pushed too hard ;( I am going to do the calf stretch that you recommend and mix the 30DS up a little when I become stronger again

Im not so sure if thats whats wrong. I think its continual pressure on joints coupled with high impact moves on my calves. An earlier poster said it right (FBMANDY) I dont think these things should be done EVERY day

Would going for a small jog around the block be a good start before getting into a few stretches AND then doing 30DS?
-
Thank you ladies xx Yes BEEUK that sounds JUST like it. It was a gradual thing that has crept up. I remember reading somewhere not to stretch before working out but I guess I should have done some light exercise first. I am doing to ICE It for the next few days and switch to walking or cycling. TY x

Thanks Lady How long did your pain last and what did you do to ease it / get rid of it?

Stretching before a workout. Is it ok to go straight into a stretch or do you need to warm up a little first?
-
Thanks guys :) Today was a lot easier!

Silly question but everyone keeps talking about the "deficit" Is the deficit eating a certain about of calories and then burning that amount of calories in a workout?
-
LOL VERY FUNNY But seriously. Tell me what you think of this routine. 30DS Running 3 times a week Eating Clean Is that enough?
-
When I get my fitness up i.e. complete 30DS do you think its possible to do for example Ripped in 30 and Killer abs together? One in the morning and one in the evening, interspersed with running?

Thanks guys. Sound information. Someone mentioned another restaurant thats healthier. Quintoz or something??? I dont live in the USA so cant comment. I think I am going to do the sub once a week as a tasty, treat. It just saves time! QC

I appreciate there are a lot of people here that find counting calories one of the big advantages in their weight loss and success but I dont want to count them -My approach is to never go hungry. My goals are to trim up a little and feel better about myself and that is really working with the 30DS Subways seem a great…
