ALL this and MINION'S in one thread? I'm about to burst!!! Congratulations, sometimes the word "inspiration" is way overused, but this is exactly what it was made for. You truly are an inspiration, this thread should be one for all 'newbies' to come too. Kudos. :drinker:

With that attitude, you won't be single for long anyhow!

For every 3,500 calories you eat ABOVE MAINTENANCE... You'll put on a pound. You've probably been eating at well below your TDEE, so thus not gaining much. Try entering your details here to get a better understanding of exactly how many calories you can eat a day: http://scoobysworkshop.com/calorie-calculator/ Can I assume…

^ This, it's not silly at all, however I am kicking myself even if they were only for me, I wish I'd have taken before's. Anyway, 5'4 SW: 308lb CW: 198lb GW: 154lb

I keep 3 litres of water in the fridge every day, and try (even force) myself into drinking it. No tricks, no gimmicks.

I had the same thought pass through my mind, I was feeling quite sick from overeating and thought it'd be so easy just to actually make myself sick, but I didn't. However, I have overate for the past 6 days, put on about 7lbs.. and Aunt-Flo came to visit me today too. I continued exercising, bar Christmas Day, and I…

I've lost 110lb in 10 months.

Great post OP, Thank you! This time last year losing weight hadn't even crossed my mind. It's not until February '13 I started, and since then I am down 110lb. I really hope 2014 continues the success of 2013, and hopefully more. As I know I need to make changes in other aspects of my life too, to be happy emotionally,…

Lose the Christmas LB's, then continue on the road of logging and exercising.
-
Same here. I know it's not "fat", but it's still making me feel a bit :grumble: getting back on track tomorrow. Now, I just can't wait for New Years to be over.

^ this, just puts everything into perspective. Thank you.

I went for an hours walk Christmas Eve, did NOTHING on the actual day, 2 hours on 26th, and an hour yesterday and today. It probably hasn't helped much calorie wise, but it makes me feel good. It's a great stress reliever.

^^^ This, +1,000,000!!! What was meant to be one or two days of over eating has now turned into 4 days! So I've decided I'll have ONE more day then start totally afresh on Monday. Hopefully by then I'll have ate everything I could want, and not feel too bothered about all the food in the house. Weighed every morning since…

I had no set backs for the first 7 months solid, continuous loss every single week - then it hit me, and I kept putting on and losing the same few lb's for a few weeks, It was my own fault I know that, I'd overeat for a few days, then have a few good days, it was just a vicious circle, but I did finally break out of it,…

I hadn't had a settled period for years (PCOS), but they came back in the past 3 months or so. I always have this unsatisfied hunger, tiredness, cry at the drop of a hat, and everyone I know pi*s me off for a few days, only usually gain a lb or two.
-
Chizakura - I do the exact same thing lol! I usually try and limit myself and fit it into my allowance, or give it away to somebody I know want's it, and isn't dieting etc. In "storage" I have about 6 bars of chocolate, about 15+ candy canes, aswell as an unbelievable amount of crisps/sweets/chocolate still in the house…

I've set myself little goals weight wise throughout the year, so far I've hit them all... so the main one is to reach my goal weight, and/or, ultimate goal weight! I'd just got under the 200's before Christmas (196), weighing this morning I was back over (202) lol.. It'll be back off again soon. :drinker:
-
Have you looked around the boards, there are loads of people who overate, didn't exercise, gained, etc.. But it's just one day or even a week etc, just get back to your normal allowance/routine, and you'll be fine.
-
I say just have the coke and set yourself a different resolution this year!
-
Too true! :drinker:
-
I can't see this thread for the pile of sweet wrappers infront of my screen! Hope you all enjoyed your Christmas! I know I did. :drinker:
-
This made me LOL too. In my mind when I am anywhere near older people or children I am always thinking "please don't say anything, pleaseeee".
-
Remembered this when I weighed this morning! I gained 4lb in 2 days. I'd lost 2lb on Tuesday.. so I suppose you could say I gained 6lb. :blushing: lol But, it's totally brushed off, I know it'll come off sooner or later and I'd rather put on and enjoy my Christmas than lose/stay the same and be regretting all the things I…

Christmas magic means food has no calories on Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day! Ok, so I didn't count. It was waaaaay too many, but I enjoyed every mouthful!

Next time she says anything, punch her in the face. Ok, I'm joking!.. I do like the idea a previous poster said about telling her outright it was hurtful, and you're trying to lose weight. Kids are brutal, and she won't know unless she's told. I've had kids say things to me before, but I've been able just to brush it off…
-
Ew, Ew, and Ewww. She didn't come here to be hit upon by a 50yr old! You and Me both OP, don't sweat it. I weighed this morning and gained 4lb, but it'll soon come off once we get back to our fitness routine. Drink lots of water too, especially if you ate a lot of salt over Christmas. Personally, I wouldn't bother…

That'd be "Oompa Loompa", and only one thing for it.. Paint your face Orange, then buy a Green wig, and a white costume. Although, you'd probably be too busy stuffing yourself full of sweets and chocolate if you actually did work there! :grumble:
-
We're our own worst enemy!! There is nothing wrong with your belly, what so ever. Congratulations, you look amazing.

It's 3,500kcal above your TDEE. (Calories you eat to maintain your weight) Which you can work out here: http://iifym.com/tdee-calculator/
