I eat everything I normally use to, just in smaller amounts. You don't need to cut out anything in your diet so long as you learn to cut down on the vast amount you're eating. Heck, with just portion controlling I lost something like 2.2 lbs this past week :)

As long as you log your calorie burn, it'll add on that many calories to your daily allowance, so just try to eat close to your allowance and you should be good.

I have a Cavalier King Charles cross (tracker pic) and if he sees either of us conscious in the morning, he has to shimmy his way over, stand awkwardly on me/on the bed between me and my boyfriend and then shove his face into mine or the hubby's and lick us furiously until we pay attention to him. Don't worry about it, just take it day by day and plan out your meal portions so you remain under your calorie intake for the day. Make friends who can keep you motivated and focused, you'll do great! :D
