Its a catch 22! He told me to take advil and lose weight - well I am trying to lose weight but its hard to exercise when you cant move LOL It has gotten alot better I do wear inserts so maybe I will just hold off on the treadmill for a while. I am 305 lbs now (was 333) so maybe in 20 more pounds I can try again.

I have the polar FT4 and do not like it. I do not believe it calculates calories correctly. Everything else I compare it to and it is wrong. If you want something just to monitor your heart rate it is basic and the chest strap is comfortable but in my case I think the calorie count is off and if you do a google search you…

This is why my HRM discourages me. I have no idea how to find out if it is right or not. I work out as hard as I possibly can and burn 200 calories in an hour. I seriosuly dont think it is calculating right.

Thanks all! So I guess 1 or 2 days or not feeling like I am going to die (ok I am being drama) will be ok. I actually do strength training also every day. I am starting a kettlebell routine at home too and a daily 30 minute walk while at work.

I am interested too. I just bought one and a golds gym workout DVD. I think I am going to like kettle bells I found a youtube video with a 5 minute curcuit. You can repeat it as many times as you want. I used them for the first time yesterday and I feel it today!

Are you supposed to do these every day or every other day? How many rest days. I do 1hr+ cardio at the gym every night... I am thinking of buying this set. Also are the actualy moves easy. I am very uncoordinated

Thanks for all your input. I will make my final decision this week. Its just hard watching other people on the boards on stuff enter 600, 700,etc... calories burned with thier hrm in 1 hr and I feel like I worked so hard and enter 250 for 1 hour. Yes, I doubled checked all the settings twice. I even manually changed my zone in case working above my zone affected calorie count. I think I am just going to return it. Maybe in the future I will invest in another one

I am wondering if anyone has any insight on the original post. I was on the elliptical level 6 for 30 minutes and it said I only burned 189 calories. I was working as hard as I could (I weigh over 300 lbs) I wondered if because I wasn't in the preset zone it wasnt calculating correctly. I have to have burned more than 189…

I think you are doing good unless you are not logging all you eat. Little bites here and there add up as well as condiments and butter/oil things are cooked in. Do you have a good scale?
