OMG!!! I thought the SAME THING at the beginning of stage 1!!! I am nearing the end of stage 1 now and TRUST ME...it will get harder, the workouts will get longer and it will feel more like you are making progress. It is currently taking me 35 to 50 minutes to complete the workouts at the end of stage one, and I'm…

I weigh myself every morning and log it on a spreadsheet. Then, when I seem to be stuck at a weight for 2 weeks, I can look back and say, "That's ok...it has happened every month for the past year...2 weeks without losing a thing and then BAM...3-4 pounds fall off all at once. Your hard work will pay off, and those…

I typically finish an upper body workout in 30 minutes (17 exercises, 12 reps, 2 sets), lower body with abs in 50 minutes (10 lower body exercises, 15 - 20 reps, 2 sets / 6 ab exercises, 2 - 25 reps, 2 sets). I do each workout twice a week...and cardio 2 - 3 times a week. Should probably add abs to my upper body workouts,…

Don't stop running!!! Might help to plan a post-run snack to keep you from getting the post-workout desire to empty the fridge...a little protein to help build muscle and enough fat to help you feel satisfied. I like an apple and some peanut butter between my run-time and dinner...keeps me from eating dinner while still…

This is SO COOL!!! Especially your story! Love it!!!

I LOVE this! Partially because it TOTALLY true...partially my husband like to jokingly tell me "Don't start none, won't be none!" I like your version!

Cute...and true! :-)

Those are some of my "go-tos" as well...along with "Own It!"

I've tried to focus on the milestones along the journey rather than any destination...celebrating a 100th workout for the year (reaching #200 in the next couple weeks!), running an entire 5K, making a 20 mile bike ride...I've tried to envision the weight/size loss as a pleasant side effect of simply living an active and…

My alcohol tolerance has decreased...BY A LOT!!!

Homemade chicken chili...215 calories for a healthy portion and SO YUMMY!!!!!

Bump! I have no pics or catchy slogans of my own...but I'm getting motivation from all of yours! THANK YOU!!!!!

A combination of long hours at a desk job...then coming home and spending most of my evenings on the computer doing assignments for online college. Throw in the stress eating related to work and school, and I was a disaster. Didn't help that my significant other is a junk-food junkie...although I take responsibility for…

You'd go well with some fava beans and a nice chianti.

Most recently...Fall Out Boy "The Phoenix"...but I have a list of others a mile long that ALL make me want to kick it into high gear!

I definitely agree with the "before" picture...wish I had done that, but I'm only 1/2 way to my goal, so I can probably still rectify that little issue. I wish I had joined MFP back when I first started this journey at the beginning of the 2013...it has been INCREDIBLY helpful!!! Both the ease of use and the comraderie…

Slow and steady...I had 50 pounds to lose at the beginning of the year...I decreased my intake and the increased my activity a little at a time. I just started on MFP a few weeks ago and it has helped SO MUCH!!! Only 20 lbs to go...at a pound a week, I should be there (or at least very close) by the end of the year. Best…

Hey, Cindy! Welcome to MFP! If you want to enter your previous weight loss, you can do it in the "Check In". Down at the bottom it has a way to enter weights from previous dates. Best wishes and congrats on your success to date!

Welcome! This may be a bit redundant at this point, but you are definitely not alone! I've been working on losing since January, but have seen the biggest successes after I started MFP 3 weeks ago. Best advice I have is log everything you eat...even if it's not good...it's the best way to learn where changes can be made.…

IMHO, yep, that would do it! LOL! :-)
