Motivation Mottos
So...I'm looking for a motivational motto...something to literally post above my door so I will see it as I begin every day. Looking for some ideas from my fellow MFP-ers...you've motivated me in so many other ways, so I'm anxious to see what you've got! Please share your thoughts!

Motivation is just the spoonful of sugar that helps the medicine go down. Once you understand that you really need the medicine, you won't even think of the sugar anymore. Just getting the part you need.0

"No matter how slow you're going, you're still lapping the people on the couch."

NO.
and it really is NO.0 -
Motivation comes from within. Don't go looking to get it from other people.0

If hunger isn't the problem, then food isn't the solution.
A year from now you'll wish you'd started today.
The only failures are those who stop trying.0 -
just keep swimming and just do it0

"who am I living for?
Is this my limit?
Can I endure some more?
Chances I'm given..."
I actually don't like the song that lyric is from but that gets me thru lots of workouts0 -

Those are some of my "go-tos" as well...along with "Own It!"0 -
"No matter how slow you're going, you're still lapping the people on the couch."

Forget the failure and trials of buried yesterdays,
and frown not at the unborn fears of a future tomorrow.
Concentrate your best efforts to succeed today,
and sooner or later they will be crowned with glory.

"If you're trying to achieve, there will be roadblocks. I've had them: Everybody has had them. But obstacles don't have to stop you. If you run into a wall, don't turn around and give up. Figure out how to climb it, go through it, or walk around it."

There are a number of ways I would qualify this, and I'm not sure I can fully agree, but I found this nugget helpful/hopeful at a time when I wasn't feeling that great (i.e. the sentiment is useful for people in a certain moment).
"Whatever your past has been, you have a spotless future." Melanie Gustafson
and this one (no qualifications necessary)
"Fall down seven times, stand up eight"0 -
Dont compare yourself to people on the couch who do nothing unless you dont want to be challenged at all, and you deserve a real actual challenge.0

If you're tired of starting over, stop giving up.0

A few weeks ago my boys ( ages 7, 9, and 13) and I were climbing a massive sand dune when the littlest fell to his knees and told me he couldn't go any further... I recited this quote to him and asked if he wanted to quit or if he thought he could make it to the top. He picked his tired little tush up and pushed forward. I gotta admit though... I was tired too and just that little reminder was enough to get both of us to the top. The view was spectacular and worth every huff and puff.0 -
Don't START nothin ... won't BE nothin
I LOVE this! Partially because it TOTALLY true...partially my husband like to jokingly tell me "Don't start none, won't be none!" I like your version!0 -

My other favourite motivational quote is actually tattooed on my shoulder.
(And is also from The Sandman, because it's just that good)
'You don't have to stay anywhere forever'0
