This sounds ridiculously good!!! I am soooo in love with oatmeal, and I put chocolate protein powder and peanut butter in it every day! This sounds like a slightly more indulgent alternative (but only 50 cals higher than my regular oatmeal, so not too horrible.)

I used to hate a lot of heathier foods before I randomly forced myself to like them haha. I used to hate fish of all kinds, eggs, and cottage cheese especially. Now I LOVE all of those things. It's pretty weird that I was able to just change my mind about them haha, especially eggs, because the smell alone used to make me…

1. Chocolate, candy, cookies, cake, pie... anything sweet and delicious, especially if it is chocolatey too! 2. Hanging out with my family... Whether I go to my mom's or go to my dad's, I end up eating way too much food because it's so delicious! Plus they encourage me to stay late, go out with them, etc. so it soaks up…

I'm 5'! I came to MFP at 115lbs, looking to get to 100lbs (I weighed that much back in high school). I got to my goal but I still wasn't happy with how I looked! I did begin maintaining along with strength training. I've gone from some core work, pilates, calisthenics stuff to lifting heavy weights. I now usually weigh in…

I agree on the happy medium! I've only been working with a trainer for about 2 months. My regular trainer is on vacation, so I have a substitute. My regular trainer is pretty nice and does keep me motivated, but my substitute trainer is REALLY pushing me. He's not "mean" but is definitely tougher than my regular trainer,…

I love planning my meals in advance! Here's my menu: Breakfast - Oatmeal mixed with peanut butter and protein powder, and COFFEE!! Snack - Plain yogurt mixed with protein powder (it's like chocolate pudding, mm!), with more coffee!! Lunch - PB&J "protein paste" (peanut butter, sugar free blackberry jam, and chocolate…

Personally I am an oatmeal addict, but since you're not a fan, here's some of my other breakfast options that may work for you! English muffins or toast (with peanut butter, sugar-free jam/marmalade, maybe a little bit of margarine or a slice of melted cheese), ham or bacon (high in sodium but they really do fill me up! I…

I got some at JC Penney for a decent price! They are cute too! I also got some at Kohl's but I found them a bit more expensive there and they didn't have as much of a selection.

I almost always have: Salad mix/mixed greens Frozen veggies (because I only cook for myself and when I buy fresh they end up going to waste!! :( ) Greek yogurt Oatmeal (quick oats) Liquid egg whites Peanut butter Bananas Quinoa and/or brown rice Frozen chicken Minced garlic Tortilla wraps Protein powder I think those are…

LOVE IT!!! My favorite is Kill Bill (both volumes!)

I DESPISED team sports. There were always the kids who took it SOOOO seriously (really? it's gym class, not the Olympics!) and would just totally tear down and demean the kids (such as myself) who didn't do such a good job with soccer and volleyball and all that. I only started liking PE once my school got a bunch of…

I would be a sex ed teacher/sex therapist! I'll get there someday...Oh yeah, and a best-selling fiction author :P That's a bit more profitable at least!

I'm a social media coordinator for a nonprofit and I also work in a state-run group home for teenage girls with emotional trauma

Greek yogurt (or some other kind of low-fat yogurt) Quick oats Peanut butter Ole Extreme Wellness Wraps (these are the best wraps ever... low cal/carb and 8g of protein!) Tuna

I agree... I am not a fan of protein shakes, but I LOVE these! Oatmeal and peanut butter (this is usually what I have for breakfast, yum) Greek yogurt and cereal Milk and cereal And I like to sprinkle protein powder on my peanut butter and jelly sandwiches... it adds an interesting texture and tasty chocolatey flavor! haha

I tend to eat after a workout either if I am hungry, or if I still need to eat some calories for the day (I usually work out at night, after I've eaten my main meals for the day). I usually eat some greek yogurt mixed with cereal and some protein powder. It's usually really satisfying and gives a good protein boost!

I am dealing with this exact same problem! I've been maintaining within my goal range for over a month now. I've upped the intensity of my workouts, which are still fun and awesome, but I find that calorie counting maybe isn't helping me as much anymore and is causing me some stress. I've noticed that since I began…

This happened to me when I began weight lifting as well. I put on a few extra pounds in a few days because my muscles were retaining water. I guess this is common when you begin a new weight training program. Wait it out and you'll probably see those lbs drop away in a couple of days!

I've been drinking unsweetened soy milk, as a replacement for regular skim milk. I like it much better (I find it tastier and creamier!) but I hadn't heard that soy milk is bad for a woman? I almost bought some almond milk last night but it had a ton of sugar and hardly any protein! So I decided to stick with the soy.

Eddie Vedder of course! I also have a thing for Rob Thomas (Matchbox 20), mmm :)

I have this problem... Last night I was so freaked out by my huge bloated belly I took a pregnancy test just to be sure!!!!! haha so that's pretty bad :( I still haven't been to a doctor but for me it barely seems correlated to anything I eat.

I aim for at least 6 days a week. Sometimes I'll do all 7 but one or two days are a little bit lighter than the other days (such as a long walk, or a 15-minute run instead of the usual 30-60 minutes in the gym).
-
I do this as much as possible! I try to plan out everything I will eat for the day the night before. Sometimes I will plan my meals a few days ahead if I know I'm going to be eating certain leftovers, going out to a specific restaurant, etc. It helps me stay on track for sure!

I love lifting! I'm still pretty new to it but my workouts are so much more fun now, and it was only once I started lifting that I noticed my body truly beginning to change to what I wanted. It's been a great experience and I'm so glad I started!

I use these: http://www.amazon.com/Philips-SHQ3000-28-Earhook-Headphones/dp/B004477D0A/ref=sr_1_7?s=aht&ie=UTF8&qid=1307892302&sr=1-7 They're great. I get superrrrr sweaty when I work out, and I've been using them since January or so with no problems :) They also stay in my ear pretty well and have good, clean sound.

My dad loves mountain biking so I've gotten him a couple of mountain biking jerseys/shirts over the years... they come in lots of cool colors and designs (we got him a Quisp cereal themed shirt once) and best part is, they aren't JUST for mountain biking! Also probably great at the gym, jogging in the woods or down the…

All I ever do is a simple tuna sandwich: tuna, light mayo, chopped onion, a little bit of mustard, lettuce, and sometimes some parmesan cheese on toasted bread. But those tuna patties sound great!!

I get home and have dinner usually by 6pm, and then I go to the gym anywhere between 6:30 and 8pm. Rarely I go to the gym before dinner, but if I do I always make sure to have a small snack beforehand. I just don't like to go when I am hungry!

I do peanut butter oatmeal... I'm kind of addicted to it! I do 1/3 cup quick oats, half a scoop of chocolate protein powder, a tablespoon of all-natural peanut butter, and a sprinkle of cinnamon. Sometimes I leave out the protein powder and put in banana slices or chopped apple.

I know exactly what you mean... That's why I decided to join MFP... I'm at a normal weight and have been for years and years but when I put on 15lbs (and was still at a healthy weight) I decided I didn't want to keep going down that route and I wanted to get back down to my former weight. I felt silly at first and my…
