  • I'm 5' and I have reached my weight goal, now I'm working on my aesthetic goals! Feel free to add me :)
  • I play WoW sporadically.. haven't played much in the last couple weeks though, too busy! But I've been playing on and off since open beta, so I'm pretty dedicated haha. My main is a Dwarf Hunter but my heart is with the Horde!
  • I only started seeing real results once I started strength training 2-3 times a week. I was eating right and doing lots of cardio for a couple of months and I lost 15lbs, but I didn't start getting that toned look until I started with weights. I've even begun noticing my stomach area slimming down, which was one of my most…
  • My favorite lately is 1/4 cup quick oats mixed with 1 tbsp of peanut butter and half a scoop of chocolate whey protein, with a little dash of cinnamon. It comes in at 226 calories and 16g of protein.
  • I've noticed a big difference in my lower belly since I started doing strength training. I incorporate lower abs into every strength workout (3 times per week). I do lots of variations of reverse crunches and that seems to be helping a lot!
  • That was the only thing I liked about my weight gain... I finally got up to a B cup!! Now that I've lost the weight again I think they are smaller than they were to start with =/ I'm not that excited about it but I guess I'm used to having small boobs anyway.
  • Hi all! I'm new to the lifting world but so excited to start. I'd always entertained dreams of being very strong and muscular but never thought I would get there... but I think I'm on my way! I'm still in the process of learning routines and techniques but I'm working with a trainer who I think will be able to get me where…
  • I got measured at the gym with this thing! I'm at 19.9% (or was 3 weeks ago when they measured me)
  • No-salt-added rice cakes and peanut butter!
  • Congrats! I am maintaining as well. In fact I might even be trying to gain a little bit again... but just pure muscle ;) Feel free to add me too!
  • Thanks so much for this!! I didn't know that calisthenics were in there (never thought to look :P ) But that's most of what I do for my strength training so this is perfect. Definitely going to use this from now on.
  • I love oatmeal!! Mine isn't all that exciting. I just do some oats (I've been using Old Wessex organic? But I'm not picky about the brand), some cinnamon, half a scoop of chocolate protein powder, and a tablespoon of peanut butter. Yummy! If I don't do the peanut butter or protein powder, then I put in a small ripe banana…
  • Good news! I'm back down to my more normal weight today. Thanks for soothing my fears, everyone :)
  • I am in such a similar boat! I am small build, 5' with 19.9% body fat (had it professionally measured) but still a non-flat tummy. Frustrating!
  • I have actually been feeling a bit crummy. My clothes aren't tighter but I am bloated. I actually get bloated VERY easily and have been bloated more often since I started my nutrition and exercise changes... I actually talked to my doctor about that and she just told me to eat Activia haha (and no, it didn't help). I…
  • yumm... I love chicken sandwiches :D
  • haha wow I'm glad I'm not alone then! I had heard of people gaining and losing a couple pounds of water weight here and there but I was worried that my 7 was abnormal. Good to know it's not! Darn ham, sucks that I love it so much haha.
  • Wow thanks for this! Very interesting. I have definitely been experiencing the muscle soreness. Seems like this could be a factor!
  • Thanks for this! :) I do try to tell myself all of these things but I guess I was spazzing out because to me a 7lbs gain = END OF THE WORLD FAILURE! In the end I do want to build muscle and get stronger but it's scary when I see the scale all over the place. Next goal: invest in measuring tape :P (I used to borrow my…
  • Thanks for all the quick responses so far :) I'm definitely going to get back on track with my sodium intake. Usually my intake fluctuates... some days it's quite low (below 1000mg) and some days I'm closer to the 2500. I guess this is the first time I've consistently had an overly high intake!
  • I usually have string cheese, almonds or some kind of nut/fruit/trail mix type stuff, sometimes some fruit (pre-peeled orange so I don't have to peel it at my desk, a banana, etc), Fiber One 90 calorie bars, or sometimes a cup of yogurt. I sit at the front desk and answer the phone and all that fun stuff so I try to bring…
  • I found it hard at first but I basically forced myself to go against my own will anyway :P Then after awhile I got used to it. And even then, when my friend started going with me, I found it to be really distracting and kind of a nuisance! Now I love going to the gym alone. Think of it as a time to focus all on yourself…
  • Might be, though I am actually more of a coffee drinker and can have coffee anytime without nausea... Perhaps there is something different about the tea?
  • I've actually never had peppermint tea, though I've heard good things! I suppose it's worth a shot.
  • Low fat cheese stick this morning, and an Atkins Day Break fiber bar planned for the afternoon (tried this randomly one day and got hooked on their deliciousness, plus they are quite satisfying for those afternoon cravings I get!)
  • Multigrain Cheerios! And Honey Bunches with Almonds--somewhat higher calories but delicious!
  • I do this a lot, especially for breakfast and lunch. When I know I am going out to eat I also do my research online (if I can) about what I'm going to eat there, then log it. It helps me stay on track in the long run.
  • I have noticed this... Instead of "Generic- Coffee, 1 cup" (my most used breakfast item when I go online) the Android app has "Coffee- With 4 Splenda" as my most used breakfast item! I don't put splenda in my coffee, so I was like, where did this come from!? :P
  • Awesome!! I DO have Netflix streaming! I'm super excited to try this out this weekend :D
  • This is a good idea. I'm not too great about laying off the carbs, I have to admit (popcorn, potatoes, and pasta are my favorite food groups! :P) Today is kind of a lost cause BUT I think this weekend/next week I'll really try to stay low on the carbs and see where that leads me. Thanks!
