You're very young to be considering surgery as an alternative. In this day and age, with all the advanced technology we all tend to want everything instantly. When we don't get it we grow irritated. One thing you have on your side is your age. Being 21 you should be able to make changes to your diet and exercise that…

I was involved and do believe in these support groups. When I did go back he wouldn't go and was jealous of me being in there around the opposite sex. I need to get back into it, it did help me a lot. Time to put myself first, this addition is real and I cant take it lightly or I will be back to where I were before.

That's awesome! Almost a year! Keep up the good work. Guess I'm still having a problem with creating boundaries.

It is difficult to find someone who doesn't drink at all so I forgave it and saw it as my own personal struggle. Latley, he has been displaying aggressive behavior when drinking and it makes me remember my own behaviors when intoxicated. This person does struggle with addiction, but was never an alcoholic (according to his…

I love, love the song idea... too cute :) Yes, it is all about calories in verses calories out and creating a deficit leads to weight loss. One thing (trick) I use is that if I eat something calorie dense (junk food) I will eat a really light dinner. Maybe just a piece of lean meat and veggies. I also have a habit of…

I was also thinking blood sugar. Maybe try to eat something small before you workout, preferably protein to keep your blood sugar stable. Drink plenty of water, could be dehydration??

I said something about sugar on here and you'd think I knocked the candy bar outta peoples hands. lol. Look on the internet for some tips. The fact that you want sugar outta your diet is a personal decision. The less sugar you eat the less you crave, I cut out sugar a while back and now I don't hardly look twice at it.…

Your weight does affect your dating life and personal life. It is a harsh reality. If you aren't comfortable with your body and happy with yourself any relationship is going to suffer. We all have insecurities; but knowing you are less than your best affects all of our self esteem. I've been there in my life, over…

The nutritional issue here is way too many carbs! Protein sticks with you throughout the day, keeping your blood sugar at a somewhat stable level. When you eat carbs (pizza, bread, syrup) your blood sugar goes "wacky" and so does your appetite. Don't get discouraged if you don't see results right away, many of us make big…

OMG! LOL you people eat your sugar if you want it is a free country! I am not sugar police. You would think I smacked the candy bar right out of some of your hands.
-
If people on here making such light of sugar addiction would of tried eat only what grows on trees diet they would of never been grossly overweight.
-
If God wanted you to eat candy bars he would of made them grow on trees.

Don't shoot the messenger people. Sure you are all just having sugar spikes or withdraw lol. Kidding even though some of you can't take a joke. Lets just say that I can almost guarantee that lots of you didn't get 50lbs overweight by avoiding sugar. With that being said I rest my case.

I'm hungry, going to go eat some low glycemic index food. Have a good day everyone.
-
That is what I am going to do. Go buy a snickers, then go to the gym for 2 hours and lift weights to burn it off. Thanks, glad I posted today.

IT IS FACT! PEOPLE DO RESEARCH ABOUT SUGAR, IF YOU THEN CHOSE TO INDULGE THEN AT LEAST I GAVE YOU SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT. DO NOT THINK IT IS NECESSARY TO GET ANGRY AT A LINK YOU CHOOSE TO CLICK ON!
-
I didn't open my mouth. I typed the message with my hands. Thanks for advice. My intentions were only to point out that sugar has NO not little, NO nutritional value. Foods high in glycemic index are not good for you. Didn't mean to offend anyone to the point of name calling. PLEASE, YOU EAT SUGAR! I encourage it!
-
LOL! I am a troll, sugar free, thin troll thanks for noticing :)

Not mad. We are all entitled to believes and opinions. People can take what they want to not from information posted. It is a free world. With that being said I do not believe all carbs are bad, do not believe all fat is bad, we actually need fat to live. I DO believe sugar has no nutritional value and people are addicted…

The Perricone Prescription is only one source if you take the time to look up articles on the dangers of sugar there are many to back up the fact that sugar has no nutritional value. Also, I did not say that fat was bad, I said SUGAR! And most people on here are overweight from eating too much sugar so it may not be as far…

Whoa! 2 liters a day! Not good for you! I may take extreme position against sugar but I am SURE that is not a healthy amount. Sounds like 70% of calories are empty calories. You may want to rethink that.

My apology on profile pic. Was uploading them via cell phone and wouldn't set vertically. I think I got it now. The Dr. name is Dr. Perricone.
-
Sure will. Add me

Whatever you are doing is working! You look healthy and happy

Def hard for me to workout like I want to. Before I was very active. Being idle isn't helping, I get bored and frustrated which makes a glass of wine sound really good. Maybe I need to get a bike?? Bicyclist always look in such good shape as I drive by lol

I like chocolate pudding or a popsicle. Just a little sugar. Not many calories. I use to have a HUGE sweet tooth. I read about sugar being really bad for you so I cut way down. Now I don't even crave it at all.

I went to breakfast with my boyfriend (now my ex). I am getting ready to eat and he proceeds to tell me that my legs look chunky and starts joking around about how he is going to take me to the beach for a walk. How romantic? No thanks *kitten*. Needless to say I lost my appetite. People say mean things, thinking they are…

Think reading a book or finding something to replace it is what I need. A healthy hobby is needed.

Exercise is great, I am a little limited right now though. I broke my foot two months ago and it is just now healing. Maybe yoga would be a good option for me.

I see. Alcohol is still hard on the body. Sure there are better alternatives.
