Not much of a group if only two people are allowed to start a conversation!!!!

Ok well I have made a pledge to myself to listen to the podcast each week and post something on here about it, and see if anyone is interested. So I like the idea of weekly planning. I'm going to plan the week's meals in advance into MFP. I have two lunches and two dinners out this week so will try to be realistic about…

I agree with you, I think there is value in calorie counting. My approach, when I do it, is to plan the day's food in MFP, so it comes in under my cals, which I set quite high because I don't eat back exercise cals. Maybe we can post any thoughts here about the weekly podcast, it would discipline me to listen to it each…

I finally got around to listening to these podcasts and wondered if anyone was interested in reviving this discussion thread?

There's another thread for February, we start afresh each month, head on over to the support section and it should be on the first page

I can really relate to this. I'm going to think about the new car thing. I'm fairly sensible with my money budget but I seem to assume my food budget is elastic (like my pants!). Thanks for giving me something to think about.
-
@uyister thanks for the craving chart, going to give that a go!

Yes, I do this. Sometimes I'll do the whole week in advance. I know it's not what will end up happening, but it gives me the sense that if I want something extra or different I'll have to tweak my budget elsewhere to allow it. I went well with this for ages and want to get back into the habit of it.

@mamabearangie I have tried the intermittent fasting both ways, the 5:2 and the 16:8, I found I lost weight on both but the 16:8 was much easier to fit into my life. I felt with the 5:2 that my life was on hold on the fasting days. I'm back with the 16:8 at the moment. I find with that and if I don't snack I can pretty…

Thanks for this thread, it's really helpful. I think I needed and still need to learn that just to have a good day is enough, then repeat. Also that I don't need maximum willpower all the time, but I do need maximum willpower when I'm doing the supermarket shop.
