  • Are you male or female? If you're male, you should eat more, for sure. If you're a woman, you'd probably be OK at those calories if you weren't working out that much. Use the calculator here at MFP - I was amazed to find I need to eat 1800 calories a day ON TOP of what I'm exercising. So the answer is yes, probably, but…
  • I've been known to eat WHILE working out - if I'm pressed for time and don't have time to do both separately (usually in the morning before work). As the other posters said, it doesn't matter as far as fitness and/or weight loss goes. It only matters how YOU feel.
  • As well as consulting a dietitian, you may also ask your doctor about an exercise program. Don't do anything without consulting your doctor, though.
  • This is not punishment for being 'bad'. This is life. So go ahead, have a ball. (Sorry, I couldn't resist). Just have a bit smaller ball than you had before.
