Mine has been dunked in the ocean and slammed into the concrete with a 220 pound dude on top of it... it'll be fine. But stick it in your pocket for the show... why risk it? (slamming it into the concrete bent the case a bit. 6 months later I can still feel the dent in my hip)

Well I have now...

I did a full 3 month round of PT. On departing, they said "youre as good as we can get you - resume normal life". Which I did. Except my shoulder started getting worse not better so I went back and they said "yeah... go see the ortho". Which I did. And he told me to do what I can to strengthen it but avoid OHP. I was just…

Im doing great with the other lifts. My problem is called "shoulder impingement syndrome". Its real. I looked it up. Basically the overhead movement causes the shoulder to bind and pop and do all sorts of nasty nasty. He didnt give me any other exercises to do and I dont see him again for a month. cwolfeman13 - im 5 months…

Its not what you do sometimes that matters. Its what you do most of the time. Or as I like to put it... one night out to dinner doesnt undo 14 days at the gym the last 2 weeks.

Is this the MFP rickroll?

I think it may have been said already but a real man doesnt care what negativity other people think about him and his choices. Neither does a real woman. A real man (and woman) knows who he is and isnt afraid to be it.

If you use a fitbit, take the results with a grain of salt. The motion of the boat affects your step count. One day we had some high seas and FitBit said I walked 122 flights of stairs. I walked 4.

Pretty sure there are entire websites devoted to that... starting with match...

I got mine for my birthday (having asked for it). Thought it made a great gift.

I, for one, am glad you shared your problems. It makes getting hit by a car seem like not as big of a deal now.

Men workout to look good in the weight room. Women workout to look good in the locker room. (gross blanket statement, but illustrates my point)

We have 2 7-day Disney cruises booked for 2014, but they dont really motivate me to exercise. I wish I had something that motivates me. I have to rely on pure willpower, and that fails me from time to time.

When it comes to financial gurus, I prefer Suze Orman. Her writing is a little less cutting and judgy. IMO. Best idea... read them both and take your pick. They both generally use the same concepts.

That was/is my wife (except she likes her candy too). I wish I could tell you its easy to overcome. I mainly resolved the problem it put on the family by outearning her spending. She still has the issue though and discusses how she regularly needs to stop at Sephora to get her fix when she is feeling stressed. Might need a…

I log everything first thing in the morning and then update throughout the day with actual scale measurements.

I looked over the last few weeks. Its not bad. A few days where you definitely should eat a bit more. Skipping meals isnt going to help you any either. I would get rid of all of the diet foods (i.e. the Weight Watchers) and just replace it will full calorie options. That should get you firmly into the realm of healthy.

I have a nanny for my youngest... does that count? Seriously though. I also work at home not 20 feet from the kitchen so I can sympathize.
-
No, because when you log exercise, MFP asks for a time, which it reports to FitBit and FitBit adjusts your burn adjustment accordingly. You dont get double credit.

Looking in the mirror one day and saying "hey - that wasnt there before" (definition) Plus it makes my wife frisky. :)

You arent happy because your weight isnt your issue. Its your perception of yourself and that is reflected by the compliments of others. Not being mean, but a talk with a therapist might help out a lot. ETA: Awesome job on hitting your goal!

Changing your workout could account for a stall (or even gain). Adding weight can cause you to break down your muscles more (a good thing) thus retaining more water to repair them (aka building muscle). 2 weeks isnt a stall... its just a fact of life. Dont stress it too much. You are eating right and working out. Give it…

Those losses are water. Calories are calories.

why on earth would you ever order a half a pint in a pub???

Up 0.2 lbs. No real gain. :)

My first week I gained 5 pounds. My second week I lost 9. Dont stress it. It works.

I dont know if the parks will do it, but with the cruise line, you can have one of the characters call with a recorded mesage.

Thats a nice looking ship. It was docked next to us in St Martin. Enjoy - the most you will truly gain in a pound or two. The rest is water/sodium and will be gone in days.
