Hey! Sounds like you need to focus on strength training your butt and core. Why core? The stronger your core is, the more strength you will have to strengthen your lower body. Buy the book "The Truth" by Franke Sepe - I swear by this book and have found it really helpful.

Thanks for the advice! Yes I'm in deficit most days, before exercise. I try to eat around or under 1200.

So sad to hear you're part of the cat slap club too! Thanks for your advice, it's all going great so far! I went to the outdoor swimming pool, and didn't feel self conscious - yay!

Thank you everyone who replied. Your advice was really helpful! I changed up my routine at the gym, and it has helped me break through this plateau - finally! After 4 weeks!

I used to be a huge comfort eater. This is what brought me from 135lbs to 225lbs within 5 years. I've successfully busted the habit by doing two things: - performing cardiovascular activities everyday for 30 mins at least - going through therapy (counseling) to tackle the root cause of my comfort eating

Thanks everyone! By the way, the gym I go to is LA Fitness. My gym membership is cheap, but I constantly get solicited for personal training all the time. It seems like to me that they would go to any lengths to sell personal training to anyone.

We are so similar! I feel like I'm 21 in my head. I've got a lot of weight to let go of, and need some friends here. Also a geek. Also a sci-fi fan. Also a vegetarian (i don't eat eggs on top of that too). Lets be buddies!
