  • Is anyone keeping up with measurements? I am wondering what everyone's progress is as far as that.
  • Yes, you are exactly right. I am only in my 20's and it is hard having to be so restrictive already on diet and exercise programs. It is kind of hard to deal with at times, and I am just trying to find things that I can consult with my doctor about. I don't want to be flabby and weak all my life, I want to find a way that…
  • No I am just looking for suggestions....maybe for something I haven't thought of I can ask my doctor about.
  • I am the one who start dancing so hard on the elliptical when I get excited at my Pandora mix that I fall of the darn thing, and bounce right back up and the same thing happens again. I also text and use apps on my phone when I am warming up and cooling down.
  • I am not sure on the battery life, but I got mine last week and I LOVE IT. I got the FT4 and the chest strap is the most comfortable one I have ever used.
  • Under Armour website, I love these! They are like my butt cheeks are in heaven when I work and work out. These are the only undies I have found that don't ride up.
  • Ok I have to say this again, but I am absolutely blown away by the responses I got. I figured I might get 10-20. All of you are so amazing, and I can not wait to start working with all of you and helping each other stay motivated. I think a lot of people are looking for motivation so please make sure that you not only add…
  • You are awesome and you already do great!
  • WOW I am blown away by the amount of friends request, and fellow MFP who want to motivate and support. Thank you all so much. I am trying to send everyone friends request but MFP is telling me I can not add more than 5 in 10 minutes so it may take me a bit to get you all added.
  • That booked changed me. About four years ago I went Vegan for about two years. This was right after my daughter was born. I was lucky that my husband made changes with me. I also read the China study. I fell off the wagon because it is hard. I went cold turkey before. Now I am trying to slowly phase meat out and then go…
  • Great ideas. I love to fix big pots of soup and them freeze them in individual serving containers for quick meals. I am going to have to look up Aloo Gobi and see what that is.
  • I love this website, her book is actually what helped me when I was starting with the Vegan diet. I was just looking at her site trying to get back on track when I saw your post. http://www.theppk.com/ She has great recipes, and awesome cook books.
  • In the US it is Thanksgiving, AKA the day to wear elastic pants and hope you don't pop them.
  • Im at 1287 for the day so far. I have been working today so that has kept me from over eating too much. Thank goodness. Happy Thanksgiving everyone.
  • When my daughter was born. My husband and I both went to it, and we done it for about two years. Within that two years both of us came off of blood pressure meds, and my husband came off cholesterol meds as well. It was the best we felt. Granted it did not last, I think we should have went gradual instead of one day just…
  • Everyone gets off track at times. The important thing is to make sure you make small gradual changes so you can stick to it. Also planning ahead, and trying to stay motivated. I write down mini goals where I can see them and that keeps me motivated.
  • Weight loss and new exercise routine can affect your menstrual cycle. If you are losing weight fast or have pumped up your cardio excessively from the normal you might not have a normal period until your body gets adjusted. If you are worried about it I would go to your doctor just to be sure.
  • You can do this! This is a great place for encouragement and motivation. Feel free to add me.
  • I a currently in college and I work full time and have a toddler. I went Vegan for 2 years, and it was one of the hardest things I done. It is so hard to find healthy options that fit your lifestyle when you are on the go constantly. I fell off the wagon, and would really love to be able to get back on it. I was like you…
  • Welcome back! You can do this, just make sure that you log everything. I couldn't believe that what all I was eating and didn't realize it. Feel free to add me if you would like, good luck!
  • Smart Ones Chocolate Fudge Brownie, I think it has 140 calories for the serving. I live for these things when I am going through those cravings. They are so good, and it is chocolatley enough to satisfy the craving and low enough in calories it doesn't ruin my day.
  • I am in, I will start on Monday. I will go in Monday when I start and input all my information.
  • I would like to start this Monday. I have a question though, do you do the same work out everyday or do you switch it up? I am having trouble navigating that website.
  • I will let my toddler keep maybe about 20 pieces of candy for her to keep at the house and the rest will get packed up and sent to her preschool and daycare. Out of the candy she has left I may allow myself to eat 1 or 2 pieces, it really depends on how big and the calories. I read every label carefully and then debate if…
  • I have heard many people talking about this, and I would love to try it. Where can you find it online? I was doing P90X and Insanity, but fell off the wagon. Maybe this could be the jumpstart I need to get back on those. Anyone who wants please add me so I can see your progress, and hopefully I can get started this week.
  • I agree, great book! I love it, it shows you ways to include foods people hate without them knowing.
  • Thank you all for your responses, great tips and pointers. I greatly appreciate them all!
  • My best advice is to start of making changes slowly, don't just dive in head first and cut things out of your diet cold turkey. Start with simple, good choices such as passing up that burger for lunch and choosing a salad. You have to pace yourself so that you are able to stick to the lifestyle changes. Remember successful…
  • I would agree with you somewhat on that, but some people have it in them that this is their life. If no one went above and beyond "necessary risk" we would not have military, fire fighters, police officers, nurses, or paramedics. That list could go on and on. I believe that yes for some people the careers they choose are…
  • I went into the Army right out of high school because I knew I wanted to be a Police Officer and being a female I thought this would look great on a resume. I got way more out of it than that. Being in the military taught me that I could push myself to do whatever I wanted, and it was a great learning experience. I also…
