Wow, thank you all for your advice! I will take it all into consideration as I make my plan for the week. Slowly but surely, I can do this!

I struggled with this a few months ago, only my cruise was twice as long as yours - yikes! I went into the cruise thinking "I wont eat dessert, I'll eat salads, etc." and that mentality would have prevented me from enjoying the food and time with friends and family. I ditched that attitude after day 1 and just enjoyed…

^^ Completely agree with ZBuffBod. I had to study for a professional exam for months and staying healthy was the only way to keep my sanity and focus on studying effectively and efficiently.

I run outside but most of my runs are run/walk format. I'll stop at traffic lights and take short walking breaks so I am not running the whole time. I use Endomondo and hit pause when I'm completely stopped but let it count when I am either running or walking. My average pace usually is right around 10 minutes/mile (6mph)…

I just finished grad school and had a similar situation. I actually lost weight during the year (perhaps partly due to stress)! I made exercising and healthy eating a priority, more so than if I had a ton of free time. Now that I have more free time, I always tell myself I can "do it later." I felt that since I was so…

Athleta has good sales online. Also, if you really want the Lululemon brand, look on eBay. Tons of people sell new items with tags. This is a great idea if you know your size! Just read each buyer's description.

I am looking for the same advice, but mine is for a 2-week cruise! Worried about the "all you can eat" environment :)

Add chicken, cooked quinoa, egg, or some sausage for some protein and you've got a meal! From start to finish, usually only takes me 10 minutes. I like to add seasonings or low sodium soy…

Thanks for the advice! I love the outdoor boot camp idea - I'll definitely look into that. And gotta love a good Pinterest workout. I didn't realize they had at-home Crossfit versions so I'll have to check that out. Thanks!

I love the mason jar freezer idea. I don't usually have a need to make my smoothies ahead of time, but that would be a great time-saver when I bring out the blender :)

Thank you everyone for the advice! I'll just stick to my normal eating habits and try to limit extremely fatty foods the day before.

I use Endomondo. I prefer it over Runkeeper and have never had any issues!

Hi! I am 5'6" and 152 lbs. I've been fluctuating in the 150s (highest was 164) for years and would love to see the 140s one of these days. Just joined a few weeks ago so hopefully that day will be soon :)

Well I'm new around MFP but this sounds like a good challenge to start off with. Count me in!
