I'm dealing with this issue too. I feel that I've become more hyper focused on my flaws versus seeing myself as an all around problem area. It takes time to adjust. It's been improving for me in the last few weeks. What I've done is note when I feel healthy/strong/thinner and take a moment to appreciate how I've gotten…

My favorite type of compliments are from other people who are fit. When they tell me how great I look or how strong and toned I am, I know they understand how much time and effort it took to get to where I am. One of the receptionists at my health club talked with me after checking me in because I looked so different from…

Today after my spinning class, one lady commented on how great I looked and that my capris just highlighted my muscles. She asked me where I got my outfit and as I was telling her, the other women came up and started complimenting me as well and saying they were all going to go to the store to find the same pants because…

Bumping this since I posted it late last night and would really love feedback from others.

I went shopping for jeans today and unbelievably fit into a size 6!!! It's crazy! I used to wear a size 16/18. I never ever imagined wearing a single digit size. My goal was only to get to size 12. Though I've not reached my goal, I've surpassed my own expectations by far. I'm so happy!

I'm 5'5 and I started out at 222, currently at 162. My goal weight is 149 which would be a 33% loss of my starting weight. My body fat is about 31% and I'd like to get it to 25%. My body frame is medium sized and I'm at 31% lean muscle mass which is in the high range for women. This is the smallest I've ever been (size 10…

I love spinning. I was spinning along with counting calories at the beginning of my health journey and lost 30 lbs. I hit a plateau after 4 months and started adding weight training. The seat on the bikes at my gym are wider and padded, so it hey didn't bother me too much. It's a great workout and you can challenge…

I'm struggling with this too. I look at myself whenever I'm approaching a glass door because I still don't see myself as a smaller person. I keep thinking that I'll feel it when I hit my goal weight, but I worry that I'll still feel big. I know that I've gotten smaller and can see it, but I'm not satisfied and still feel…

Awesome thread! For me: 1. Fav clothes and shoes are too big. My wedding dress (I've been married almost 21 yrs) is huge on me. 2. Having a limited wardrobe. I'm trying to just buy a few things here and there since I'm not at my goal weight yet. 3. Had to buy a belt since I never needed one before. 4. Others' fixation my…

I don't have any specific advice, but just wanted to encourage you. I was coming to post something similar. I'm glad to know I'm not alone. We both just need to hang in there and keep plugging away :)

I'm 2 lbs away from that moment. Yeah for you!

Oh, I bet that felt great! Congrats!

Great job! You should be very proud of yourself.

Absolutely inspiring! Thanks for sharing. You look so happy and healthy :)

That's terrific! I just actually ran 4.25 miles this week (personal best), so I understand your euphoria :)

For me, I feel so much better inside and out. A coworker told me that I have a healthy glow. I feel more confident. I think clean eating shows in your skin and hair especially. I think I've changed which affects how people interact with me.
