  • You should focus on the amount of calories you're taking in. These workouts are very demanding, so it would be good to try to keep with the 5 small meals per day. Make sure you're getting enough protein as well so that you'll be building muscle instead of burning it.
  • Those sound pretty good. I'll have to try them out.
  • I use the Detour protein bars because they are low in sugar and the taste isn't too bad. As for protein powder, I've been using ProV 60 and Oh Yeah. Both taste alright, are high in protein (30g per scoop) and low in sugar.
  • I usually peek at my stats from the previous fit tests and will admit that it does motivate me to push harder. Good luck with Max Interval Circuit tonight! Today is my Max Recovery day!
  • I had the same question. The chart says to count 2 kicks as one rep, so that's what I've been doing.
  • Nice! Keep it up!
  • Day 2 went much better than day one. The max interval plyo was a great change of pace. Whoever said this part of the program likes pushups wasn't lying. My arms were jelly by the end, but I felt great afterward. I noticed that if I didn't drink enough water throughout the day, I would get dizzy during my workouts. I think…
  • It's been a couple weeks since your post. How are you doing? Have you gotten back into the swing of things?
  • I did day one yesterday. I couldn't make it through the entire first workout, but I think it's because I did the fit test right before. The first workout is an hour long, so you may want to split the fit test and actual workout into different times during the day. I was exhausted, but am feeling a "good" sore today.
  • I'm on day 2 of the Max Interval sets. Day one was tough, but I'm excited about the next few weeks.
  • I have a pair of Ryka cross trainers that work well for me. I workout on hard floors, so a good shoe is a must. I have also worn New Balance cross trainers in the past and loved those, too. I personally don't think Insanity is a workout that should be done barefoot. I think there is too much movement and jumping that could…
  • This scares me...:noway:
  • Hi everyone! My name is Laura, and I've been doing Insanity for about 5 weeks now. It has been difficult to do all 6 workouts a week, but I've managed to keep in the 4-5 workout/week range and can definitely feel a difference. I love this program, especially because it has remained a challenge the whole time. I am about to…
