You can do it! Focus on sustainable, life-long changes and you'll be back where you want to be in no time. My best advice is find something you LOVE to do and keep doing it (for me, that's running) and eat at a nutritious deficit with room for treats. That probably sounds pretty "Duh!" and I'm sure others will echo it.…

This article might help you out! The author tested out various methods and reviewed them all. Some are more suited to under-the-clothes wear (the shorts, etc.), but towards the end she reviews anti-chaffing cremes products that might work on the beach! http://www.xojane.com/healthy/chub-rub-thigh-chafing-solutions

Shred up some sweet potato and saute that in a pan before adding the eggs! I really like sweet potato, feta cheese, and green onion.

I can't speak for everyone else, but my best success came when I detached from the scale and started focusing on 2 core principles: 1) Finding an activity I enjoy doing, and 2) Eating at a nutritious deficit. I discovered a love for walking, and started by getting in 1.5 hours 5 times a week by walking to and from work.…

Walking to and from work, and packing a salad for lunch almost everyday.

In to show the boyfriend after work! Hilarious!

That's really unfortunate, and I'm sorry that you feel that this scenario reflects negatively on your body. Whether or not that's the case in your man's mind, it's still a crappy feeling and I empathize. Those are the kinds of feelings you should talk about with him. If you explain to him that him going to a strip bar…

My boyfriend and I both adore cilantro as well! We put it in tacos, guac, salsa, quinoa. sandwiches, salads... etc. etc. My little brother, however, hates it with a fiery passion. Which is totally fine. More for me.

For best results, I keep it simple and taste as I go! I make mine out of: 1 mashed avocado chopped cilantro diced tomatoes diced red onions minced jalapeno minced garlic clove a touch of lime juice salt pepper Sometimes I am in the mood for more tomato and less cilantro - sometimes the other way around! Keep your…

I have sleep issues as well (stemming from night terrors and anxiety that began as a child) but I find that working out actually helps. If you are finding the opposite, especially to such a severe degree, you should definitely consult a doctor. For my sleep anxiety issues, I find that having a solid night-time ritual…

Welcome, fellow Canuck! :drinker:

AAAAAaaaaaahhhhhh!!!!! :noway: That is my greatest fear.... Fortunately, I think it's pretty unlikely to happen on a 3 mile run.

Wow, these are all awesome tips - thank you! To answer a few questions, I tend to eat my breakfast about a half hour before I hit the road. It is usually 1/2 of oats with berries and protein powder, or 2 pieces of light rye toast with natural peanut butter (and a glass of water). I try to use the washroom before I leave,…

I make oatmeal almost every morning for my boyfriend and I, and it has never exploded. 1) Use a regular cereal bowl or tupperware bowl of similar size. 2) Measure 1/2 cup of quick oats in the bowl. 3) Fill with water ONLY ENOUGH to cover the oats. 4) Cover bowl with a small plate. 5) Microwave for 2:30. PERFECT! For my…

I would pay off any debts for my immediate family members and closest friends, buy a house, take a vacation, donate a large portion to charity, and start saving for my (future) children. I definitely wouldn't be buying anything flashy or wild. I live a pretty modest life, and I'd like to keep it that way.

I have the fitbit one, and I love it! I like being able to clip it to my bra, or somewhere else discreet. I'm not a big fan of fitness bracelets, or visible pedometres. I like being stealthy.

Nachos and beer!!! To compensate, this is what the rest of my day looked like: Breakfast: 1 whole wheat pita filled with 2 scrambled eggs, green pepper, white onion, tomato slices, and cheddar cheese. 2 cups of water Lunch: Spinach salad with green peppers, white onion, cucumber slices, feta cheese, roasted chicken…

That sounds like sadness in jell-o form. Yuck. :brokenheart:

I love carrots, so you'll get no complaints from me. I just finished a bowl of plain carrot sticks now! These, however are my favourite ways to eat them: 1) Tossed with oil and spices, then roasted in the oven or grilled on the BBQ. 2) Thinly sliced and sauteed in coconut oil with garlic salt and pepper. 3) Dipped in…

This is exactly how my boyfriend eats it! I prefer mine with vanilla protein powder, mixed berries, and shredded coconut. I looooove oats.

Business casual. I can wear anything from a pencil skirt, blouse and heels, to jeans and a sweater on Fridays - and everything in between.
-
I buy mine in bulk as well at the local grocery. They only have organic though, and it's so expensive! We rotate it with other grains and side dishes to keep our grocery bill down (brown rice, lentils, barley, pasta, etc.).

In for later reference. (Female - I'd like to start the same transition process after the next 10ish lbs...)

My boyfriend and I stove pop ours with coconut oil, and then season it with a mixture of smoked paprika, oregano, and garlic salt. Yum!

AMAZING.

Two eggs scrambled with green pepper and onion, and one piece of whole wheat toast with unsalted butter

This sounds awesome! I make PBJ Oats for breakfast sometimes - 1/2 cups of oats (cooked with water) with 1/2 cup of mixed berries, a tbsp of peanut butter, and some protein powder mixed in. SO GOOD.

Recipe?

In the bulk section of your grocery! I just pour myself a big bag, then bring it home and put it in an air tight container. EDIT: Sorry, I was replying to someone who asked where to get the unsweetened shredded coconut and I forgot to quote them! Silly me.
