I graduated this weekend! I ran my W9D3 yesterday, and it was excellent. Brisk walking pace of 4.3, and a solid running pace of 6.5 for the whole 30 minutes. To celebrate finishing the program in exactly 9 weeks, my boyfriend and I made some homemade roasted vegetable and chicken pizza, and drank a bottle of…

At my heaviest (235lbs, BMI of 35.7), the extra weight I was carrying around put a lot of pressure on my lower back. I started off with low impact exercises like biking, swimming, and eventually the elliptical and walking. I actually lost most of my weight once I started walking 5 days a week! The more weight you lose, the…

I don't think seeing a lower number on the scale has decreased my anxiety, but eating more wholesome foods, being more active, and getting more rest has help IMMENSELY. I am not currently on any anti-anxiety meds (though I have been in the past) but I find my new routine has greatly improved my sleep, thoughts, and ability…

Congratulations! You must be so proud of yourself, and rightfully so! I've got W9D2 tonight, hot yoga tomorrow to limber up, and then W9D3 on Sunday. I am thrilled to be so close! My 5K race is on March 16th.

Can you juice a pizza?

I believe in pizza...

I eat - lots! And I exercise! And I log everyday! And I lose weight! It's awesome! Exclamation point! Seriously though, my day usually revolves around food. I love it. :blushing:

Right on! Keep at it, and you will totally surprise yourself. :flowerforyou: W9D1 tomorrow! My last run was supposed to be 5minWU, 28minRUN, 5minCD.... but I may have run for 30 mins anyway. Bring it on, Week 9!!

I lost my first 20 lbs walking! To and from work, Mon-Fri, while eating at a calorie deficit. Walking rocks. =)
-
Congratulations! Keep at it, do your best, and you'll totally rock it. :flowerforyou: W8D1 for me today!
-
Congrats everyone! I love reading these updates. Great motivation and perseverance! W7D3 for me tomorrow (today is a rest day). Ready to rock it!!

It absolutely affects it! It's all about energy, right? The more sleep you get, and the better rested you are, the better you can perform throughout the day. You'll be more active, and also make better food choices. (At least in my experience.) The whole point is to keep your body healthy and happy. :flowerforyou:

I really like it! I will roll it up in chicken wraps instead of lettuce, put it on sandwiches, or mix it in with my spinach and spring mix for salad. I'll also chop it up and stir it into warm quinoa with veggies and cheese. Yum!

Oh, and Closer - NIN. Because DUH.

I Fink you Freeky - Die Antwoord OR 212 - Azealia Banks I love when these songs come up while I'm running. They can pump me up and get me through anything!! RAWR.

Don't despair! Having to re-do runs here and there (especially once you get to the later weeks) is not unheard of. In fact, it can be a good thing! Listen to your body and stay inspired to improve a little each time. Who cares how many weeks it takes. ;) EDIT: Typo.

And a big congratulations to the American and Swiss teams as well! What a great sport. ^_^

Hooray! What a nail biter!! :drinker:

I have been doing something similar to this. My TDEE - 20% (sedentary) is 1470. Since about Jan 6th, I am down around 6 lbs which is pretty sweet. I have less to lose these days, so a loss of 0.5 lb - 1 lb a week is pretty pleasing to me. I'm focusing more on improving my fitness and measurements right now as…

C25K W6D2: I felt a distinct improvement in my endurance today. Those 10 minute runs separated by 3 minutes of walking felt like a snap! ^_^

Not 100% necessary IF you can exercise complete honesty regarding your portions. As mentioned in the above comments, a lot of people fare better weighing and measuring their food simply because they can't be objective when eyeballing it themselves. Personally, I weighed and measured my food for the first couple of months…

I had a veggie/egg sandwich for breakfast, packed a salad for lunch, and packed an apple and yogurt for snack. I'm eating light (but not starving myself!) because I want to fully enjoy the romantic Valentine's Day dinner my boyfriend is making for me tonight. \ On the menu: Dry-rubbed leg of lamb slow cooked in red wine…

The only point I have to disagree on (for me, personally) was the insistence on not doing it alone. The article advocates finding others to exercise with and hold you accountable in order to ensure success. I'm sure that is really relevant advice for many, but not necessarily applicable to all. Some folks really thrive on…

Just read this! Great advice. BUMP! ^_^

You've totally got it! No sweat. ...Well, there will be a lot of sweat, actually. Haha. But you can do it!!

http://us.loveisartkit.com/ Basically, you create an abstract painting while making love. We're both extremely excited. :blushing:

Wow - your replies to some of the comments laced with negativity are so diplomatic! You come across as very articulate, cool-headed, and confident. I'm so happy for you and your success! Proud to have you as an MFP friend. :flowerforyou:

I just ROCKED the infamous W5D3 20 minute run - RAWR! At a pace of 6.5 the whole way through, too. Bring it on W6...

My boyfriend and I ordered a "love art" kit.... ;)
