  • What are some “rewards” you’ve already used?
  • Feel free to add me. I oscillate with low carb and not. I’m trying to not be too restrictive and just watching my portions and avoiding over doing carbs.
  • Have you determined where in your diet you consume a lot of sugar? What do your meals consist of?
  • Southern California!
  • Body dysmorphia is a psychological condition. Consider treading very carefully when attempting to lose weight and do it under the supervision of a nutritionist and therapist who specializes in eating disorders.
  • Coffee is the only way to begin my day. I’m 38, Mom of 2, taking a break from working for a bit due to life circumstances so I’m trying to focus on my diet during this time. I have about 50 pounds to lose. I think my diary is open to friends. Feel free to add me
  • I’m always struggling with my weight and health. I’m 38 :( and 191 as of my last weigh in. I’m working on logging and routine at the moment. I love new friends on here!
  • I’m 5’2.5” and need to lose 50ish pounds. I think my diary is open to friends but I’m a terrible, inconsistent logger.
  • I have found that Pinterest has tons of helpful ideas from foods to avoid to meal ideas/plans. It’s helpful. I don’t like how high my sodium and fat intake is when I low carb but if you make your diet 75% veggies it should help with that. I tend to grab cheese instead of anything else when I want a snack.
  • My favorite machine is the elliptical machine. I also like the rower machine. It is all personal preference. I dislike the bikes and I get bored on the treadmill. Try them out and find one or two that works for you :)
  • My husbands amazing and delicious lime chicken with deconstructed elote recipe. So excited.
  • I tend to prefer snacking small over having big meals. I’m a grazer. Or, if I’m busy and out of the house I don’t usually bring food around with me. I never saw it strange to have snacks... different strokes indeed.
  • Great post! Low Carbing certainly makes it necessary to snack. I am reading through the posts for ideas that do not include cheese. I am trying to cut down on cheese. It's so easy for me to eat nothing but cheese all day.
  • Feel free to add me  I am a mom. My two boys are 7 and 10. I am 37. I have been on here a long time, but I took a break when i was in grad school. Now I'm done with my masters and need to get back into eating healthy and losing weight. I could lose 50-60 pounds to be in the range for my height, I am 5'2". It seems…
  • I try to! It depends on what’s going on in my life; how active I am and how many carbs I eat. I lose really well eating low carb, but I have braces (as an adult  ) so right now ,y teeth hurt and I may not be able to stick to it today. If your looking for someone who’s non-judge mental and loves to see tips and…
  • I have an Apple Watch. I have been using it just to track steps and my sitting/activity for about a year. I just finished graduate school. While I was in school, I took a break from my watch because it was distracting. Now that I’m done with school, I'm back the fitness wagon. I’m just starting to learn how to update my…
  • pretzels with cream cheese sounds so good. Then I saw a reply about an apple and now I think I want to eat an apple. Added my randomness :)
  • I found a feature to use a my "location logo" when logging my food. I click on the plus sign in the diary and next to the scanner icon is the my location icon and that's how I use it. I'm not sure if that's what you're referring to though.
  • Be sure you are consuming the extra calories for nursing. i breastfed two boys and it helped regulate my poor eating, definitely made me ravenous. Theres even an option in the food log for breastfeeding.
  • Yeah, I have that same urge. I try to keep calories allotted for some night time snacking; string cheese, fruit, skinny cow ice cream sandwich etc... I also have tea in the evening (lately anyway). Thats always comforting and gives me something to enjoy. Will power is the best defense but try and fit in a snack at night if…
  • Me! I'd love new friends :)
  • I don't think th Fitbit's look very good, I just wanted it for the pedometer part so I got one that goes on my bra, the Fitbit zip. It's very basic, so for more bells and whistles you'll need a different one. Also there's other brands with other styles.
  • That happens to me, then my appetite comes back raging. Then the cycle starts over. I just try to make my food count and enjoy less ravenous days as they are
  • People do IF (intermittent fasting) and it's not a bad way to go if it works for you. Op that does not sound like the case for you at this time. It sounds like you're hungry, accommodating a lot of picky eaters on a minimal budget. 1) get control of your families eating.. On a budget you cannot accommodate everyone. Make…
  • I very much agree with you about the tuna melt. Everything about it is wrong, wrong, wrong. Also that meat with the olives stuck in it. Yuck.
  • What does 4% mean to your exact weight? Are you just starting out or having you been at this for a long time? I am just curious as to how realistic it is. The best advice I've seen on here is that weightloss isn't linear or predictable. Good luck though.
  • That's a better reason than the calorie reason. I still love my sour cream. All the defense of using it is funny, though. It's one of my non-negotiables
  • You'll see the scale go up and down, stay stagnate. Try not to get too hung up on the number displayed if you're weighing daily and sporadically through the day.
  • Yeah, that's what I wonder, weird yogurt taste instead of my sour cream. I could see trying it in a pinch. I did find a recipe for ranch using Greek yogurt I'm planning to try. We'll see how that goes haha
