I can't sleep if i'm hungry either. I try to time my last meal about 3- 4 hours before bed and make sure the meal satisfies me. If I'm starving, I'll have a piece of lunchmeat (35 cals) and a bottle of water. That's just enough to get me to sleep.

Cheetos and Heath bars. Not necessarily together. :)

The people here are really supportive. We're all in the same boat.

You need to see your doc. I was having this problem and it was due to fibroids. I eventually wound up having a hysterectomy because I was done having babies and was sick of dealing with all of the female problems.

I started at a 12 and wanted to get down to an 8. I'm currently a 6 and would like to be in a size 4. LOL. Clothes fit me differently this time because of all the working out I'm doing.

Zumba is fun and challenging. I've recently started doing The Firm Boot Camp for Maximum Calorie Burn. I also like my Power Pump class.

Bless your heart. I don't know why they do this. Maybe they're afraid of change. Maybe they worry we'll mess with their food. When I started a year ago my hubby was always asking me if I wanted a bite of his frozen pizza or if I wanted icecream. He bought me a huge heath bar (my favorite) to give to me with an anniversary…

The gym offers more than just a treadmill. I actually attend the gym for the classes. Zumba and Power Pump are great. I do some working out at home. I have several dvds and several sets of dumbbells for at home workouts.

Instead of thinking of what you can get at the fast food places, think of what you can eat at home that would satisfy those cravings. Fast food is bad. Stay away from it.

Do some kind of light cardio.

I used to get that quite a bit when I ran. Usually a break from exercise would be enough to make the pain and sometime swelling go away. I would say to avoid the moves that hurt. You know your body best and if you can come up with an alternative movement, you'll be better off. Getting it checked by a doctor is a good idea…

I love Zumba. As women, it's kinda cool to do moves that make us feel sexy and these moves really do it for me. I actually take a class at the gym and the instructor always says, "I have 3 rules to my class. Don't worry about what it looks like, breathe, and always have a good time." Remembering those three rules helps me…

If you ate out for your date night, it's the sodium in the food you had. Restaurant food will have about twice our daily recommended portion of sodium even if you choose from the diet menu. Take a day off exercise, drink lots of water, and relax. Try your weigh in again in a couple of days.

Is it your time of the month? I used to gain 5 pounds right before I started. It was always gone 3 days into my cycle. Weight fluctuates so much. You might want to measure yourself and go by that. Go by how your clothes feel and watch the inches melt away. The scale can be your worst enemy and it can lie like nobody's…

Hear hear! My hubby was great support during my weight loss. It was my choice to do it and I did it for me, not for him. He's reaping a few benefits of course. It turns him on to be with a woman who has a smaller, tighter body than she did a year ago. He also loves how I walk with more confidence. We flirt a whole lot more…

I like the Richard Simmons dvds. The moves are easy to do and they get you moving. You can also do some of the routines with light dumbells. I would say start with 1-2 pound dumbells and move up from there. The important thing to remember is to gradually increase your intensity with any exercise you do. You have to…

Thank you!

Well, maybe it is immaturity. You can only hope that he won't always feel that way. The fact that he's not attracted to her for gaining weight (she's still not overweight) when she was underweight to begin with, is concerning. A person can love you and not be attracted to you physically. The fact is we all gain weight and…

Power pump and Boot camp both focus on weight lifting. Running didn't really do anything for my legs. I did that for about 6 months. My knees really don't like running or the stationary bike at all. The weights seems to be working better than the running did. I guess it's just going to take time. I have been eating…

It's one indulgence. Get over it and get back to doing what you need to do.

I can't follow any particular "diet" plan because I love a huge variety of foods. Anything that restricts my food wouldn't work for me. What works is measuring your portions and eating 1 serving instead of 2 or 3 like I used to. I love MFP because I can eat anything I want, I just have to watch the portions and exercise…

Eating 1200 cals whether I exercised or not led to no results. Eating 1400-1500 calories on the days I exercised, led to weight loss. This may not be the key for everyone but for me it was. I wasn't ever hungry and I ate often. Eating and exercising actually increased my metabolism. I was eating more than I was ever able…

Muscles hold water when they're worked really hard. If you're feeling sore, that's most likely what's happened. Drink lots of water and watch your sodium. When my weight goes up and not down it's usually due to a strenuous workout, not drinking enough water, and too much sodium.

You do get lunch and a planning period. Don't be scared, there are ways to go when you really have to go. If necessary, I take my class for a "restroom break". I basically save my drinking for right before lunch and right before the end of the day.

Wow this blizzard has me down. I have so many IEPs to do. I actually have 2 meetings scheduled for Friday but I have a feeling we will be out for the rest of the week. My car is buried in the snow. We've missed so much school (two snow days the week of Martin Luther King day) and I'm stressing because we don't seem to have…

At first, you're better off keeping track of inches. I didn't show any weight loss on the scale at first but I dropped a pant size in the first month. When you exercise, your body holds water. Even though you're losing fat, the scale may not show it for awhile. I just keep track of total calories. I usually go over on…

Great work!

When I eat out, I have to look at the nutrition information from the restaurant website before I go and plan accordingly. It's hard to determine what's low calorie and what's not without seeing the numbers for yourself.
-
I eat an apple and drink a bottle of water about an hour before lunch. It's just enough to get me through until meal time.

I never have been able to do a whole cheat day. I usually will eat great all day and then have my cheat meal at dinnertime. I do this once a week. It hasn't really kept me from losing. It might slow down the process for a couple of days but I think I have to eat the extra calories every now and then to rev up my metabolism…
